Thread Details

I have read random posts here and there regarding the use of VPNs to make a purchase from Origin Mexico, however many of these methods were incomplete/not working. For example, I read that FlyVPN was an option, however there were no Mexico servers listed. I saw VPNgate as another option, however they have very limited Mexico servers as well, and I was unable to locate one. I figured this method deserved its own easy to find thread to save trouble for those trying to get this to work.

My solution which has allowed me to begin downloading Titanfall as I type this was to use the Hola Unblocker add-on for Chrome.

1. Point the unblocker to origin.com (Chrome)
2. Search for Titanfall
3. Add game to cart.
4. Go to checkout.
5. From here, you cannot continue because the VPN does not support Javascript.
6. At the top of the screen, the unblocker gives you the Mexican URL, copy paste that into a new browser; I used Internet Explorer.
7. Log into your Origin account and checkout using a CC or Paypal. I used AMEX to provide some additional layer of protection. My Discover card would not work for whatever reason.
8. Launch Origin and start downloading!
9. ENJOY!

How smart. Send your personal info and credit card over an unsecured proxy.

Still debating if I should get in on the game so early..

been burned so many times with these starter fpses where the crowd moves on in a month..

it seems like it's got a lot going, considering it runs much better than battlefield 4.. thanks to the source engine..

and it has most of the play mechanics.

You actually don't. You're logging into Origin Mexico outside of the proxy (Step 6)...

Well if you decide to play...add me

SupremeLegacy

Edit: I was also in the same boat as you and I also thought it might suck since I love battlefield and hate COD but it's actually fun; very surprised.

Why even risk it? This already sounds shady as hell.

I am not TD the game, I love the game, but this deal is too risky. SD banned the OP from posting the link and I am sure they have a good reason. Also to give your CC information out to a mexico proxy server? I DONT THINK SO.

Actually it does if you want the Deluxe Version seeing as how it's $46 for the Season Pass + Game. (unless you want to Proxy the Season Pass later of course)

Where did SD ban me from doing anything? My post appears exactly as I typed it. Also, as I already stated, you don't enter any information (Origin login or CC info) while logged in through the proxy. Unless I'm missing something, where is the security issue?

I did this Tuesday and it works fine, and you don't send any of your Origin or CC/Paypal info over the VPN. Only thing that the VPN does is let you add it to your cart and start the checkout. You still check out here in USA using your regular internet to checkout like normal. And it shows 599 and 699 but this is pesos. If you check out through paypal, it shows the conversion rate next to the pesos before you check out, and it comes out to be like $37 and $45 and some cents.
