Thread Details

I have read random posts here and there regarding the use of VPNs to make a purchase from Origin Mexico, however many of these methods were incomplete/not working. For example, I read that FlyVPN was an option, however there were no Mexico servers listed. I saw VPNgate as another option, however they have very limited Mexico servers as well, and I was unable to locate one. I figured this method deserved its own easy to find thread to save trouble for those trying to get this to work.

My solution which has allowed me to begin downloading Titanfall as I type this was to use the Hola Unblocker add-on for Chrome.

1. Point the unblocker to origin.com (Chrome)
2. Search for Titanfall
3. Add game to cart.
4. Go to checkout.
5. From here, you cannot continue because the VPN does not support Javascript.
6. At the top of the screen, the unblocker gives you the Mexican URL, copy paste that into a new browser; I used Internet Explorer.
7. Log into your Origin account and checkout using a CC or Paypal. I used AMEX to provide some additional layer of protection. My Discover card would not work for whatever reason.
8. Launch Origin and start downloading!
9. ENJOY!

Worked. Followed instructions to the T.

$49.xx total after conversion. Saved about $38 dollars. Not bad.

Ruskie site was a no go.

Staples VPN method was too confusing and also sold out.

Greenman was only offering full priced games.

Ebay was sold out.

All in all thanks. I'll rep if I can.

Success! Odd thing is the first couple of times, upon pasting the link into a different browser, I kept getting pushed to the US site and the $79 price. What ended up working was translating the page to ENG in Chrome before proceeding with each step. Gave me a slightly different URL that kept the MEX price of $599 pesos...

Also, had to use my Amex in PayPal...wouldn't work with bank account...just as well I guess.

Thanks OP! Rep'd!

Ditto, It took a while for the Hola Better Internet to connect to origin via mexico, but persistence paid off. It worked fine. Excellent work OP! Thanks!

Here's some instructions using a different chrome plugin. I found that Hola Better Internet seems to be blocked/oversaturated when trying to access Origin - simply wouldn't work for me (even with Premium servers).

GeoProxy was super fast and worked flawlessly the first time around.
  1. Installed this chrome extension (Hola plugin doesn't work anymore): https://chrome.google.com/webstor...choe?hl=en
  2. Make sure you're not already logged into Origin.com
  3. Click on the blue icon in the top right corner of the browser and use the drop down and find Mexico
  4. I selected the first VPN IP with the port 8080
  5. Go to Origin.com - it should be in spanish.
  6. Click on the titanfall banner - add the edition of your choice to your cart
  7. Proceed to the checkout page
  8. Now - copy the URL from the mexican origin checkout page, and copy that into Internet Explorer (or another browser not using the VPN) -- it might take a minute to load. This is so that you don't transmit credentials or any sensitive data over the VPN unnecessarily.
  9. Complete the checkout process (albeit in spanish) in Internet Explorer - to change your payment method, click on the button under your name and address on the checkout page. There's two buttons at the top of that page for CC or Paypal method.
  10. With paypal selected (the icon should be above your name in the billing info on the checkout page) - proceed to the next checkout step, which will take you to paypal.
  11. Confirm which method of payment you'd like - and submit
  12. Log into Origin and see your shiny new Titan!

Just completed with OP's steps. As mentioned you aren't using the VPN in any way to submit your details, you are just getting it added to your cart. If it errors out just try reconnecting a few times, it seems the connection is under a bit if load right now. All told it took me about 5 minutes from start to finish.

Thanks for the alternate option here, man. A bit confused when connected to the Mexican Proxy, it shows all the prices at $499.99 & $599.99.
