This is the model where you stick a flat metal square on your phone or under the case. For my crap Samsung I can't seem to fit it behind the battery inside to make it invisible. I don't use a case.

The CD slot in my car blocks some buttons. I love the concept but it depends on your car cd location vs dashmount.

I've heard too that in a car with a stiffer suspension (aka anything sport) it jiggles out relatively easily. Also, if your phone is a larger phone/tablet it doesn't work well either :/

The description says this metal square is a magnet. Considering many people put cell phones in their pockets and possibly near their wallet, could this screw up a credit card's magnetic strip?

No, the strip on a credit card will not be affected by a magnet, look it up.

For mine the magnet is on the mount itself, not the squares you put with your phone but its a different model. I'm assuming this works the same way.

I have this and love it! For Reference I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII with a Diztronic Case (This one - http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-F...+galaxy+s3)

I actually stick the magnet to the inside of the case and I have not seen any scratches on the phone or any problems with my credit cards when it is in my pocket.

I drive a 2013 Passat TDI with Factory 18" wheels and Factory Suspension. (235/45/18 tires) Not a Cadillac smooth ride but pretty nice and my Galaxy S III doesn't fall off even over pretty large bumps.

It can slip out but very rare for me. I have sport suspension and drive on bombed out roads of Brooklyn.

It is a innovative design but the old non magnet design with standard clamp is more secure. The flat metal isn't a magnet.

I use it often with no metal pad since the rubber grippy pad, 35? angle I use and I guess metal in phone hold in place fine on normal highway. I feel the magnet pulling on something in my Samsung Victory LTE brick. I couldn't fit the metal behind the battery easily.

You can also just mount your old GPS holder to the ball on this mount.

Also not a good idea to use those strips inside a case. The magnet is not powerful enough and won't hold the phone.

This is confusing. The pictures provided are the Mountek nGroove Snap first generation (one with the yellow tag). It seems like Mountek has released a 2nd generation recently but it shows a black tag on the magnet plate shown here on Amazon.

EDIT: Seems like the frontpage links to the first generation, and the thread links to the second generation. Here's the link just in case anyone was wondering.
