Scott usually comes out with a mail-in rebate offer in early spring. Not sure if its out there yet. If it did, this will be an awesome deal.

Bummer, I'm guessing that rebate isn't valid for Lowes since it says..." at your local independent hardware store or independent garden center&quo

Looks like it works, when I went to type in "store name" "LOWES GARDEN CENTER" is an option. http://www.scottsmiraclegrorebate...urer=71549

Go to your local county recycle center and they will sell you one ton(one scoop) of fertilizer for $20-$30 which will last you a full season.

I could be wrong... 1 ton = 2000 lbs. I'm thinking 1 scoop ($20-30) = 1 cubic yard. If its smelly, it will get your grass green!

I guess you don't know what is use as recycle products. Those fertilizers are made from our local yard waste such as branches and leaves, the fertilize is extremely dark and rich, and they smell just like fertilizer that you get from those bag. It will save you a lot of $$. My family has our whole back yard convert to vegetable garden so we use to spend hundreds every year for fertilizer but not any more.

But if you only like to smell and buy corporate poop then my message is not for you, it's for those that want to save $$ and buy locally.

I'm not really sure how heavy it is but every year we buy one truck load that would last us a year and cost around $30. It's not smelly since they are made from yard waste not animal waste.
