Found this link on Facebook, works fine for everyone:

http://www.citizensbank.com/promo..._-Facebook

Go here, pump in your info. You'll get emailed a coupon code. I was told by a manager that you actually don't need the code, you just need to open your account with the same info as what you used to get emailed the code.

The requirements are: Make one deposit ON TOP of your initial opening deposit. So two deposits. Super easy.

Requirement for making the account free till you get your payout are also easy, one deposit of any amount (including .01, one cent) waives monthly maintenance fee. Deposit comes 60 days after requirements are met

Fine print:

You must open your first new personal checking account between 3/1/14 and 3/31/14. Primary signer on the new checking account may not be or have been a primary or secondary signer on any personal checking account within the previous six months. Offer may be withdrawn without notice and cannot be combined with any other checking offer. Offer only available to the person who registers online and to whose name appears on the coupon code email, and the new account must be open and in good standing to qualify for this offer.

To earn the $150 bonus, in addition to making an opening deposit, make any additional deposit to your new checking account by 5/30/14 OR make a minimum of 5 debit card payments or purchases that post and clear your new checking account by 5/30/14. Debit card payments and purchases include signature and PIN based debit transactions through a third party web site and in person directly at a merchant. Online Bill Payments and ATM transactions do not qualify.

Bonus will be deposited into your qualifying checking account by 7/31/14 and will be labeled as "Balance Builder Bonus." One bonus per customer. Bonus will be reported to the IRS.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Valid only in the following states where they have branches: Citizens Bank brand in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont, and the Charter One brand in Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.

many SDers now confirm it is a soft pull on your credit. No worries people.

BEWARE: Only one person (note below this) confirmed it's a soft pull but the pull did not list citizens bank while many people on FW are concerned it might be hard pull due to previous experiences.

It showed up as a soft pull on my Equifax credit report under the listing ""CASHEDGE EIDCOMPARE" which I believe is a 3rd party company in charge of handling money transfers and ID verifications. Just like anyone who opened a new account from PNC Bank recently will notice a 3rd party company named "Andera" in their soft inquiries.

Not available in all areas. Try your zip code here first https://www.citizensbank.com/apps...arted.aspx
Not available central Arkansas.
Not available for las vegas

From another board...
Only valid for addresses within their service area.

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is a British-owned formerly American bank headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, which operates in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Citizens is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, with headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Per management and customer service, you DO NOT need to actually enter the promo code they email you. Just make sure the email address, name, and physical address you punch in in the OP's link is the same info you use to open the account.

Correct, so unlike other promos on SD, you don't need direct deposit or thousands of dollars, you can do this with literally 5 cents.

Good find. Thanks.

Do you know what kind of funding options they have for the initial deposit? (ACH, Check, credit card, etc.)

Apparently so,
I entered both my Portland OR and Austin, TX homes, and...

"The Zip Code you entered is out of our business area.
Use our branch locator to see if Citizens Bank offers services in your area."

so no easy $150 for me.
Probably helpful to edit the title if you can figure out where it does work.

Yes, there is, try to input your zip. I get this "The Zip Code you entered is out of our business area. Use our branch locator to see if Citizens Bank offers services in your area."

Only until you get the money, so 60 days after your second deposit.

Citizens bank goes from the east coast (down to Georgia) out to about Ohio.

Is there a minimum opening deposit needed?

Edit: No branch near me. Does this work strictly online?

If you mail a check made out to your own name to a branch with a memo stating "deposit to account #xxx" they will deposit it for you, that is standard for all banks.

Also, they use pop money, so any other financial institution with pop money can xfer money.

Obv wire transfer, ach, even PayPal or others can go in.
