Geekbuying has had these deals listed for a few days on their Spring Festival sale page, but these two models are special for different reasons.

Deal Link: MK809III Quad-Core PC Stick with Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. - $49.99 Shipped Free [geekbuying.com]
1.) MK809III is a few dollars lower than anywhere else in the market (around $60 shipped on Amazon) but the reason this one is worthy of posting is because of the following....
it's very fast, has a small footprint like a Google Chromecast size, and comes with Beyond XBMC, (See Wiki Post below) which has been included in the device and is a build specifically suited for the CPU/GPU combo in this PC Stick.
In other words, where many other PC Sticks have failed for XBMC enthusiasts, this one shines. Nice pick up for $50 shipped.

Deal Link: Q7 Android TV Box with Remote - $58.99 A/C - Shipped Free [geekbuying.com]

2.) Q7 is definitely a deal price at $68.99, but there is a coupon code posted HERE [geekbuying.com] (Coupon: WDVYDPHP) that says, "expired March 17th" but is still currently working when I add it to the coupon box on the order page.
I did not click through to order, so someone will have to report if it actually takes the $10 off. If it does, getting this unit plus remote control shipped free for $58.99 is a seriously good deal. nod
**Confirmed working by Slickdeals user llskankzll as of 3am EST on 3/21/2014**

Specs will be in the Wiki, as always.
I'll be around to answer general Android or PC Stick questions as I'm familiar with about two dozen different models.....or just PM me and I can reply there.

Enjoy!

*Q7 Android TV Box with Remote - $58.99 A/C - Shipped Free [geekbuying.com] has increased in price to $67.99

Coupon Code WDVYDPHP as mentioned above no longer works. Tested on 3/24 at 1PM EST.

Link to install, "Beyond XBMC" for the Q7 TV Box (Pre-installed on the MK809III) :

Look for an upcoming custom rom here:

http://www.freaktab.com/showthrea...post160549

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to this thread, the Q7 does not appear to come rooted. Also, when loading different roms, the wifi and bluetooth and remote stop working, probably because the Q7 uses a different wireless chip than the CS918. There does not appear to be any compatible custom ROM.

No confirmation that some different version of XBMC solves the problem. Geekbuying, states "Beyond XBMC is way better than regular XBMC". See links 1 and 2 above for complete details about XBMC on this chipset.

Dont buy anything from geekbuying . They send everything from china ( will take 3 to 4 weeks) . My product dint work right out of the box . You will have to send the product back to china to get a refund. There is no US number to call. Everything via emails. It sucks ! . I already lost an open dispute with them .

If you're asking if there is an MK809-IV (4) version out......the answer is, "no"

The MK809III is the latest version of this particular device.

Incorrect.
Click on their, "USA Returns" option and they give you their USA Return address for any issues (Northern California I believe) and they have an online support chat - email is not necessary.
You can address any problem you might have in real time, it only requires that you contact them during China hours.
Contrary to popular belief, Chinese people do sleep. Trying to contact them at 3am China time will not get you far.

Not sure why you did not use any of the options above, but they are available to anyone buying.
For the record, I have at least 4 orders with Geekbuying and have never had to wait more than 13 days to get my delivery regardless of what was ordered.

I thought they charge an extra $2.99 for the USA returns option?

Anyways, the $58.99 with coupon work for the Q7 box! I double check my paypal receipt and geekbuying invoice.

Thanks, Evo-IC!

It fluctuates from what I've seen.
One time I bought a deal that had it included as part of the, "deal" and a I've seen it for $1.99 and also for $2.99.
I think it all depends on the overall price of the item.
$50+ items seem to be $2.99 and under seem like $1.99 but that could just be nonsense and all in my own head. Big Grin

For the $10 code that is knocking an already low price even lower, I'd check that $2.99 box in a heartbeat and consider it a $7 off code and some peace of mind if there's an issue.

$15 back to China or $2.99 + $3 USA First Class mail under 13 oz?
Seems like an easy call to me, but to each their own.
Please report back when you get yours.
How long it took to arrive and what your thoughts are!

....and, you're very welcome.

I noticed this version of the mk809III does not have the vented casing (you know where the have circular holes all over the casing to allow for "better" cooling on these android sticks)

I just wonder if it heats up more than those other "vented" android sticks?

I've owned all and while I've touted the advantage of having the small vents in the past, it seems like other than for looks there wasn't any great advantage to it.....contrary to what it seems like it would do to help.
I'm not a scientist and I could be wrong, but the only PC Stick that I've had a history of giving me issues with heat is, you guessed it, vented.
The old, old original version of the MK808b seemed to suffer and the vents did zilch to help.

If someone absolutely insists on vents: Here ya' go [ewdsolutions.com]

I kid. Sort of. Blink

I think they have almost idiot-proofed their site for people that get cold feet when buying from China.
They let you order through Paypal (protection) using credit card backed accounts, doesn't have to be non-CC accounts as some require (charge back protection) they offer free shipping so that you don't have to deal with inflated shipping charges (perk) while offering insurance and tracking (protection) and offer a USA return option as well (perk and convenience)

You will be hard-pressed to find many other China sites that do all of that in order to appeal to an international customer base.
You're going to find advantages and disadvantages with any site in the world, but if I'm buying from China, I look for my item with these guys first.

No, as far as I know, only the Nexus 7 (2013) can do this, all of the others can't.
But, yes, they can support Netflix just not in SuperHD

I thought I was the only one that had this problem. the MK808 I bought over a year ago from geek died in a couple days. Nothing change I just turned on the TV once and it was dead. Spent 20 hours on forums trying to fix it realized it was dead, didn't have the energy to deal with sending it to china and waiting for nothing. I know many people buy from geek buying but I just don't want to take a chance again, I would rather pay a bit more and get it sooner and have customer service on the off chance I get a lemon.
