For those who are familiar and are using FTP and telnet on their devices now, here is a script I made to overwrite your website files with english ones (disclaimer - not responsible for damage). (...)

DO NOT SEND THE FLASH.BIN FILE OVER FTP OR YOU'LL BE SORRY (hehe).
Too late for me. For at least one of the two I bought. Thanks though!!!!

Your efforts are awesome. keep it up please.

any way to change the wireless driver to WPA V2 ?

Seems this thing is only WPA V1 capable.

I don't know that there is an update for WPA 2 compatibility, though I was poking around for it early on. Sadly I queued up a bunch of files with the flash.bin from the update and accidentally ended up with a brick there, and my second unit was the one that went quiet after I did a factory reset through the web UI after the full IP7137 flash, so I'm all out of test hardware for now. If I get a hold of more I'll keep going and maybe at some point be able to find a recovery method as well.

Any pins or solder points on the PCB for a serial connection? If there is one it could be extremely helpful for recovery.

Just for a clarification: we should not attempt to try the factory reset through the web UI after the execution of writewebpagecustom (?) I have only one unit. Thanks again!

I took a good look and probed around quite a bit but didn't find any. At this point I'd need something more on the level of JTAG and not just serial. I welcome anyone to look into it as well.

No, the web files shouldn't cause any adverse effects like that, you should still be fine doing a factory reset from there. I was referring to my own test flashing the entire IP7137 firmware (not just the web files) to the device and losing access to it after a factory reset (or possibly reboot in general, not sure).

ps ax shows that getty is listening on ttyS0
/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 38400 vt100

I tried a bunch of 'tp' points on the backside with my ttl serial cable, but i wasn't trying at the right speed of 38400. There are also 'tp' points on the front side of the board that i will try this weeknd. Should be around the SOC unless you already checked them.

I did go through each TP, but I didn't know of the baud rate, thank you. Where I did find activity it just seemed to be the data stream to the other chips, but I'll take a look again with an established baud rate.

Edit - Still no luck.

Thanks servili, I got my pages uploaded in english. However some of the pages are different and it broke being able to set up a snapshot profile. Snapshot1.html points to a non-existant script in the cgi-bin. I edited it to point to the correct one but it still does not properly save the settings. Snapshot1.html was not included in the backup so I'm not sure if its even an original file. Does anybody have all the original .html files?

The TC5331 camera arrived today. Easy to set up since I set up other ip cameras before. Connected it to my router. From router control console, I saw the MAC of the camera and its IP. Used the IP in web brower. After setting up fixed IP (camera setup) and port forward (router end) and SSID and router password, I was able to unplug and reboot to use the camera via WiFi. No need for iw2.zip software.

French interface no problem, because I got English manual PDF (see this thread) to guess.

Still cannot figure out how to get audio using Android IP Cam Viewer by Robert Chu. Tried various Vivotek model selections in the viewer. No success. Any hint appreciated.

My copy of that app wants me to pay to use audio. But did you verify that you forwarded all the extra ports? 5556-5559?

Follow the end of my directions, the original files are backed up and placed in the ramdisk folder, anything not there wasn't there to begin with, it could just be that the IP7137 builds a different set of cgi files, I'll look at it soon.

I picked up two more of these cameras so I'll see what more I can do.

I've corrected this now. Please refer to my original post and download and redo the process with the V2 file I am uploading now.

Edit - Uploaded. Everyone should update to this version and also make note of the new etc.tar.gz file that is available (and referenced at the end of the post).
