I'm in soon as I can figure out which checking account to select. I used my Chase Freedom to fund the account and it went through as a purchase. There's an option to create username for online access, but I got an error message. So unfortunately, I have to wait until tomorrow to get account number and etc. The app didn't mention anything about checking credit. There were only identity questions to answer.

Can you check your credit reports to see if it was a hard or soft pull for us? How much can you fund the account with?

Not sure yet, bmo harris hasn't offered an open bonus like this before so no data points.

Looking promising if no hard pull!

I don't know if its a hard pull. I haven't received an alert for new credit inquiry. My account still isn't open after receiving an error message during the final step when creating a username. I missed all call from them today, so 'll know more soon as I touchbase with the banker.

I assume you can fund with a CC. Anyone know if they accept AMEX? Do any banks accept AMEX for initial funding? (I'm trying to hit $3K spend for a bonus)

Thoughts on this, seems like a push from another bank is ?

In order to receive the cash bonus (“incentive”), you must open the checking account and establish a qualified direct deposit into the account. A “qualified direct deposit” is a recurring direct deposit of a paycheck, pension payment, Social Security payment, or other government benefits payment electronically deposited into your new personal checking account on a recurring basis, at least monthly, from an employer or an outside agency. Each direct deposit must be in an amount of $300 or more and the first direct deposit must occur within 60 days of account opening.

The CSR told me it is a hard pull. When I submitted my app last week, I didn't receive a new inquiry alert. But also, I was told there is no record of my application.

Employer if I resubmit the application. My employer has it so we can log into our account to add or remove checking information. We can add multiple checking or savings accounts. And we can authorize a certain amount from our paycheck to go to one particular account.

My application went through without any problems. There were no indication a credit check would be conducted. Once you complete the application you have to mail or fax the signature card. You can use Visa, MC or AMEX to fund the account.
