Junky But Loud... j/k, I've always liked JBL, but why are these so ugly?

I got the BS21 when they were 49.99 a pair. Not too bad.

Those BS41s are stout, and the sound quality is outstanding for the price. I'm using them for 2.1 stereo in a bedroom.

As a current owner of the Pioneer SP-BS21-LR, I'm considering upgrading to the JBLs. I can't find too much info on them though, so I'm a bit hesitant. Also, it doesn't appear you can use the V.me discount on them since it includes a gift item.

Hope, this is not a repost.

Newegg is offering the JBL Studio 1 Series Studio 130 bookshelf pair along with the matching center channel 120C speaker for $150 with free shipping!

A nice deal if you are looking for front three LCR speakers for under $150!

I bought these a little over week or so ago when they were $49. I was hoping they would be comparable to my existing Polk Audio R15s that I have hooked up to my old NAD receiver. I added them and compared and have to admit, they are close, but not good enough to keep using. I noticed the highs were really kinda muffled in comparison to the PA's. The lows were about the same, but I'm not putting much on that as I have a sub to handle the lows. So, if you don't mind a little softer highs, these are good speakers for a small room! For me, they are back in the box for some future project - or an emergency. ;-)

Can I use these as surround speakers, my other speakers are 8ohm and these seems to be 6ohm.
TIA

Pretty good deal. Too bad they didn't throw in the center with the 180's or 190's. Maybe that will be the next offer they go to when trying to unload these discontinued speakers.

Yes, I assume you are asking about the JBL's- not sure why these threads were merged. My friend uses these JBL's as his rears and they sound great!
