Has anyone tried and failed to install an SDXC card? Just curious if it is a definitive no.

Just bought the black one. Anyone know how big is difference between FI9826W and FI9821v2. I know that's too expensive but planning to use this in the baby room as a monitor. I hope this is clear enough. Also, will be wall mounting (above/near crib). How're your experience been with that?

It says indoor, but was thinking about putting it in my garage. Would anyone see an issue with that location? It's an attached garage, but it does get hot in the summer\cold in the winter.

I use mine in a covered, open carport in Puerto Rico's high heat and humidity. It hasn't gotten too hot yet, but I'd think as long as it doesn't get wet, you'd be fine. I couldn't tell you how the cold has affected it Stick Out Tongue

Debating on upgrading from my 9820 or whatever I have for the HD and local recording. Mine is too much of a PITA with a server or computer having to be on to record from it. Any opinions on the upgrade? Worth it? I remember seeing a video showing that the viewing angle was much worse in the new models compared to the older ones.

Does the white one not have an SD card slot, or is that picture just wrong? I would be getting the black one anyway, just curious...

I think the major difference between the 2 camera's is 9826 is 1.3 megapixel and 3x zoom, where 9821 is only 1 mgp and no zoom. Both are mountable and flip horizontal/vertical.

Ditto the location. Mine has been in 32 degree cold and 95 degree heat, and continues to work fine under a carport.

So 8910 had zoom...you're saying this has no zoom at all? should that be a deal-breaker for a baby room? Just ordered...but might be able to cancel...not sure now!

Not according to Foscam specs. The 9821w v2 is pt only. i haven't received mine yet, but it may have digital zoom, but not optical. 9821 does have digital zoom.
