I've been keeping my eye out on this keyboard since January and I've finally seen it dip below the $129.99 MSRP.

Also free 2-day with ShopRunner.

As someone below pointed out, Amazon has price matched:

great keyboard other than the failing LED problem

i have the later cherry mx browns version and 2 LEDs failed within 2 months, so be warned

i bet more would have failed but i keep the LEDs turned off for all the letter and numpad keys

I think they have fixed that problem with the LEDs. Also, from reading the forums, the problem was only with the blue LEDs.

Is this a better keyboard than the Logitech g710+? I have been considering the 2 but I don't have any experience with mechanical keyboards.

Amazon has it on sale as well. Bought it last week and they refunded the difference. This is a really great keyboard.

I paid full price for this when it released and I don't regret it. Best keyboard ever, not only for gaming, but also for getting work done.

I haven't had a single LED fail on me to date, and I leave all of them on whenever I use it.

I wish this was the blue switch. Also, Corsair has the RGB version of this coming out soon.

Personally, I was going to pick up the Logitech but I read reviews of keys eventually breaking from normal use.

Yes I know some of the K70 keyboards have LED issues, but it is isolated to the blue LEDs. Also the stock of these keyboards has been low recently - If I had to guess Corsair finally corrected the problem.

Also for those wondering, a couple of new models were just recently released. Personally I picked up the Brown switches in Black Aluminum. It's back ordered at Amazon, but in stock on Newegg (for MSRP of $129.99).

It really is all down to personal preference. My wife has K70, and I have the G710+, and we actually both like the K70 better. I always joke with her about stealing her keyboard while she's not home. Well... more joke AT her.... wives 'n' jokes, y'know?
If you live anywhere near an electronics store that has a few different mechanical switch styles, I'd strongly recommend going there and trying them out to see which ones feel best to you.
Overall, I'd say that the K70 feels slightly more solidly put together, and if you're planning on using it at work, it looks a bit more professional, too.
Good luck with your decision!

Get the FPS wrist rest directly from Corsair, it's quite nice. Got mine with a 20% off code a few months ago. Also get a duplicate set of contoured FPS WASD keys while you're at it just in case you get a second mech board...because you will nod

Ahh, I came to post almost this exact message Wink One of the only computer-related items I paid full price for and don't regret.

But I'm probably going to sell mine since it has Reds and I've fallen in love with Browns, in addition to falling for boards with 87 keys or fewer. I planned on never getting rid of it Frown

Thanks, I've been looking for a mechanical keyboard for a long time. I was looking for blues but kept reading reviews and red switches sound good for me. I hope I was right, I sadly don't have anywhere around me that has red switches to try out before. I could probably just gift it or maybe trade with someone if i don't.

The price match with Amazon made me really buy it, I prefer their customer support 1000x over Newegg's current support quality. Thanks again for posting.

I bought a 710+ over this because of the faulty LED issue with the Corsair. The 710 is great so far.....
