Home Depot has the Little Giant Velocity adjustable ladders on sale.
15 ft size [homedepot.com] (actual size is 13 ft) for $129
17 ft size [homedepot.com] (actual size is 15 ft) for $159
22 ft size [homedepot.com] (actual size is 19 ft) for $189

Add to cart and then use the $10 off $100 coupon HDSPRINGBF
Free shipping.

These are the very nice 300 lb Type 1A rating with the fancy locking system, not the cheaper classic or alta-one model. It is also lighter than the classic model for the same length.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The little giants are better. They are a lot lighter than the werner of equivalent height. The locking mechanisms are much smoother on the little giant. Especially this model with the fancier push lever. I have a smaller werner one and it is almost as heavy as my longer little giant. The locking mechanism on my werner always gets stuck unless I pull it out at just the right angle.

Sure Little Giants are better, they better be for the asking price. I have the knock-off Werner MT-26, while it's heavier than the Little Giants but by no means the Little Gaints is "a lot lighter"...maybe ~5-7 lbs more. The main reason I got the Werner version is the price was less than 1/2 of the Little Giants (I think I paid less than $170 a while back). My friend's Little Giants 26' is nicer, the latching mechanism is smoother, the welding looks better. However, both are equally solid to use and heavy! A normal person would probably have a hard time moving the 26' ladder regardless of Werner's or Little Giants.

Harbor Freight carries similar items (tools) at higher price so I suggest that 25% HF coupon be used for substantial savings.

I have had both.... equivalent in function, IMV. The Little Giant is lighter for a given size. I sold my 22' Werner and replaced with 17' Little Giant.... not only because of the weight saving for "lugging around", but moved from a 2-story house to ranch style were 17' is now adequate.

All in all, the Werner is likely the better value... if you don't mind the weight. (It's not like the Werner weighs a TON more... maybe just 20% more for equivalent size.)

first review on the werner ladder

Quote :
Price is substantially lower than the Little Giant ladders, so that is a pro. I had used my bro-in-laws Little Giant 22 ft multi-use ladder and was very handy. So much so, that I figured I needed to invest in one for myself. I read reviews and shopped around and i thought i would take a chance on the lower rated product for a lower price. it is not as smooth. the locking mechanism sometimes gets stuck. Not as smooth and easy to manuever as the other brand. But I probably use a ladder about 15 times per year, so Im willing to take the tradeoff. However, if I was using it on a daily basis, I would probably opt for the lighter but more expensive one.
