Valid on first purchase only. You can use it on just about any purchase, but there are exclusions I would guess for example gift cards. Valid 4/3/14–4/13/14. Maximum discount $200.

I used my 10% with a $700 Honda HRX217 self propelled walk behind mower. Then I got a free year of warranty extension from Honda (making it 6 years total) just for registering the mower with Honda (third offer down).

The Honda One Year Extended Warranty Offer is good on all Honda HRR, HRX, and HRS residential mowers, purchased March 1st through May 31st 2014. must register within 30 days of purchase.

I also tried a Harbor Freight 20% off coupon, but no surprise, that was quickly shot down.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

28% interest 25 day grace period but you must pay off card to get it each month

if you fail to pay off your promotional balance within six months, you’ll be charged six months’ interest on the entire balance, including the amount you’ve paid off. Second, your account will convert to a penalty rate of 29.99% if you make a late payment, if your payment is returned unpaid, or if you go over your limit.

six months with no interest is a convenient way to pay for something bigger than what you can afford today. But the rest of us should view it as a clever strategy to get us to sign up for a high interest card

you would be better off getting a regular bank card that comes with a 0% intro financing promotion.

They gave me a 17.99% interest rate, which I thought was way high considering my excellent credit rating.

You're right about paying it off. I will not pay one cent in interest because I'll pay the balance in full immediately. I'll probably never use the card again, unless they want to give me another 10% off.

I'm surprised at all the TD.

Obviously, it would be worth it only for a major purchase that you would have made anyway, and will pay in full upon receipt of the bill. Won't apply to those who don't have their financial house in order.

But whatever. I already wasted way too much time posting on this. So long. wave

I think the TDs are because this promo has been running for years. Anyway SDers are a tough audience. Don't take it personal.

You can get 10% off other ways that do not involve having to open ANOTHER credit card. Thanks anyway for your attempt ...

Can't remember when or where I read this little gem, but it applies here - "This is slickdeals, not obviousdeals".

Why is it not a deal? Because you don't need to get a HD credit card to save 10%. They offer 10% off in so many ways, try to make everyone feel like they're getting a deal, but in reality everyone can get the same price. I use military discount regularly. Tried using it on appliance purchase, no go, can't combine with sale price or other discounts. They said, you can use either the military discount, current sale price, BMSM, open credit card save 10%, or the movers coupon, but can't combine. Not really a deal.
