I was looking for a FIOS deal after Comcast doubled the rates for my plan and came across this deal. I searched SD but didn't find it posted anywhere.

Your employer needs to be a part of Verizon Connections program.

Steps
  1. Click here to check eligibility [verizon.com]
  2. Submit the form and wait for their email with the link.
  3. Select 2 year contract option
  4. Click "See other available promotions" to see the $39.99 pricing. See screenshot below

Package details:
  • FIOS Select HD (doesn't include sports channels)
  • 15/5 Internet
  • Phone
  • Free Fully Loaded Entertainment Pack (HBO etc) for 3 months. 50% off for months 4-12. You can cancel any time.

Other fees you will have to pay:
  • Wireless Router ($5 per month or purchase for $99)
  • Cable Box ($12 per month for 1 TV/ $20 per month for 2 TVs)
  • DVR (Optional, $5 for single room DVR, $12 for multi room DVR)

My final bill (before taxes) for triple play + DVR will be $57 plus $99 one time fee for modem.

Update
I added two more screenshots
  • Confirmation email showing monthly price after equipment rental, taxes and "fees". First month's bill will be higher because it includes prorated charges for partial month plus installment for router.
  • Screenshot of Select Your Promotion Offer window which a lot of people can't see. I hope you can show this screen to the CS rep to get the $39.99 package.

Some information about Verizon connections program:
  • Available only in following states (Thanks johannbiermann)
    • California
    • Connecticut
    • Delaware
    • Florida
    • Maryland
    • Massachusetts
    • New Jersey
    • New York
    • Pennsylvania
    • Rhode Island
    • Texas
    • Virginia
    • Washington, DC
  • Existing customers are eligible for the discount as well
  • AFAIK the discount is $10 per month. Even if you don't get the discount, you can get the triple play for $49.99 a month (plus equipment, taxes).

15/5 fiber optics? I think it is wasting the technology ...

Thx, OP! I enrolled in Verizon Connections through my employer and got $5 off per month (I have Double Play)! bounce

Also prompted me to look at my speed options and I'm awfully tempted to bump up a level but that seems a little overkill, eh?

I have been using Comcast's 15/5 connection for two years. Never had any issues with streaming videos or downloading apps. Netflix / Hulu / Amazon Prime all work perfectly.

I feel your pain. After promo period, they more than doubled my bill and applied it retroactively. They charged me extra for the month I had already paid for.

I don't like haggling with CS reps. I tried anyways but they wouldn't budge.

I'm glad Comcast doesn't have monopoly in my area.

No FIOS here, just Comcarp and my Internet 25/5, digital preferred TV 80 channels just increased to $155/month (from $87). They won't budge. FCC should step in and regulate pricing.

Worked for me.
11 more months to fullfil contract.
Got $10 discount monthly.

Thanks OP.

I'm chatting with customer service to see if it makes more sense to cancel the current one & start the new contract under my wife's name.

Does anyone know why can't I get the option to pick my services - existing customer but hoping that this gives me an option to adjust. I would love to get into the $50 internet and local channel package but so far no luck.
