IMO Uber is better
For Lyft, there's only 1 car available right now in Seattle (6AM PST)
Uber -> more than 20 cars available

I'm actually dowloading this just for a trip to Seattle soon. Is Lyft cheaper generally than Uber? I've had Uber on my phone for a while now and never use it b/c the Uber rates seem kinda crazy to me. Last time I was in Seattle I grabbed one of those non-metered cabs for pretty cheap ($8 from Pan Pacific to cruise pier) and the Uber rate quoted me over $25.
This time I'm looking to use it for downtown to SEA. Has anyone used Lyft before?

Thanks for the code... I don't advise anyone signing up until you need a ride though because you get 50 free rides for your first 2 weeks up to $25.

I signed up and I was a "Pioneer" for 2 weeks where I could take an unlimited amount of rides, up to $25 each ride. It was awesome.

Never used it before but read some of the reviews. Seems the consensus is that it's cheaper then Uber. However, people are annoyed that it requires a link to facebook.

well.. if you are going from downtown to SEA, why don't you ride Central Link light rail?
You can just ride it from transit tunnel Big Grin
http://www.soundtransit.org/Sched...light-rail

For uber- Downtown to SEA - $50 for UberBLACK, $65 for UberSUV
or for uberX, base fare of $2.14 + $0.3 per minute + $1.63 per mile
or for Lyft, base fare- not sure + $0.3 per minute + $1.63 per mile

sooo... pretty much same thing I would say, but hey, why not for $50 free credit?

Thanks for the suggestion on Light Rail. Actually used it last time when it was just my husband and me. This time I've got my 4YO, grandpa and luggage so it will have to be a car.

Thanks for giving me the breakdown on the costs, etc. Reppted. It looks like I can't go over $50 by very much to SEA, so I'll probably try it for this trip.
