Fangbook EVO HX7-100 17.3" for $946.60 AC/AR ($975.60 with the dead pixel guarantee):
i7-4810, GTX 770M, 1TB 7200rpm HDD, 8GBx1 DDR3-1866 RAM, and Killer wired/wireless.
For about the same price as the Xplorer X7-7600, it has a better case, 9-cell battery, 180W power adapter, 1866 RAM, and Killer Wireless included.

The 770M is about the same as the 860M, with slightly better performance, but a little less power efficiency. The 860M has higher clock speeds, but the 770M has 3gb (192 bit) instead of only 2gb (128 bit).

Also, it does have an extra HDD slot by default, so you can go with the 1TB drive and then put an SSD in the free slot.

This is for the clevo w230st but will work for this model, clevo w230ss

This a is Class 1 GPU that can compete and sometimes beat the nVidia GTX 770M while drawing less power.

I have a laptop built on the Clevo W230ST chassis, the GTX765M laptop version.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. AMA. The internal structure is basically the same, I have upgraded mine as well, so I can crack mine open to answer your questions, as documentation is pretty meh.

This is new model, its just coming out now.
The Xplorer X3 uses the Clevo w230ss body.

If you want to have an idea of what it is like, google the previous model the Clevo w230st.
From my own research, the w230st has some issues with the fan kicking into overdrive, being too loud but this seems to be less of an issue. The fix was to undervolt it.
This seems to be less of an issue with the w230ss since it draws less power, the fan kicking in when playing newer games on Very High and Ultra.
There are also tutorials out there about undervolting, if you're brave/savvy enough to try it.
The previous model w230st got solid and good reviews.

Right. It should be noted that this machine is THICK. Much like the Alienware m14x. Also a review said the plastic body is sturdier than a Dell Inspiron, but not as sturdy as a Thinkpad, in his opinion.

Anyone know if they charge tax? It looks like it, but I didn't get far enough to put in cc info etc. to actually make sure. It would be nice to avoid it. I'm not looking at OP's deal, but one of their 17" gaming laptops. Here are the specs:
ZEUSBOOK ULTIMATE 100 GAMING NOTEBOOK (their "thin notebook")

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ Mobile Processor
HDD: 1 TB 7200RPM SATA300 Hard Drive (included)
MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory (included) (Corsair or Major Brand)
MOTHERBOARD: Mobile Intel HM87 Express Chipset Mainboard
SOUND: Supreme HD Audio w/ THX True Studio Pro Technology
VIDEO: NVIDIA GTX 765M 2GB PCIe Video (included)

With the 5% off and the $100 windows 8.1 rebate, it brings it down to $1058 IF they don't charge tax.

Thoughts?
