Check your emails. Not sure if this is targeted or not, YMMV.

Title says it all: Discover is giving $20 cash back bonus when you redeem $20 of your current cash back bonus at amazon.com:

Directly from the email:

Using your
Cashback Bonus at Amazon.com just got more rewarding.
It's easy! Simply shop Amazon.com and pay using your $573.98 Cashback Bonus at checkout by May 15th. We'll match the amount of your first redemption - up to $20, and add it to your Cashback Bonus account!

Hope this helps someone. I know I sometimes ignore these emails.

The more interesting part of this post than the $20 is the amount of cashback you currently have. Are you using it as a savings account? Smilie

Yup those were the good days. I'm still waiting for a deal similar to the 20 for 40 shell gas cards. That was the last time I redeemed for anything & between then & now got a few hundred dollars worth of cash back to redeem & nothing worth redeeming for...

well its more of the waiting game... every so often some super deals pop up.. like I mentioned above where we got shell gift cards a $40 card for $20 discover cash back...so thats doubling your money right there... so Ive just been saving mine up to use on a deal like this if it pops back up... other than that its just a good idea to buy gift cards from stores you know you will use them on and then wait for a deal to pop up... for example if you got kids and you know old navy has some huge deals before school starts of on tax free weekend or whatever you cash in beforehand and be ready to go with those gift cards you got $25 for 20 and then bc its tax free weekend and deals going on you really maximize the value for your cash back money... this is just a simple example, but its an easy way to get more for less the true slickdeal way..

as for me Im in no hurry to cash mine out so Ill just wait and wait till something big pops up and if it doesnt after a long while Ill use them as above

Then Discover decides to change the rewards and you can't get cash back or they start expiring. I try to cash them out when I hit 50 or 100.

A decent deal is to buy Lands End GC's for 20% off and then go to Kmart or Sears to purchase Amazon GC's.

You can buy a gift card with a gift card? I asked a cashier once and she said no but I have yet to try it myself...

Sitting on about $700 in Land's End gift cards myself.
