Did a search and only found expired.

Chase Marriott Credit Card 70000 points + 1 free night stay is back, I just received a promo card in the mail for 70K points.

www.MarriottRewards.com/Elite70k

After approval, spend 1000$ in 3 months to earn 70,000 points and 1 free night stay (category 1-4, earlier they used to give 50 or 75 $ credit but this is better, worth anywhere between 100-250$, YMMV) on first use.

Next question you might ask, how much these points are worth?
Check out this post to get detailed description but IMO, these can be a worth lot more if you don't stay in Downtown hotels, at least in metros. I'm guessing if you use it well it can be worth around good 7-8 days or ~1000$, again YMMV. Good for frequent travelers or may be for a big family trip.
http://www.rewards-insiders.marri...hread/5925
70 k can also be converted to 25k Southwest points (for those who need companion pass)

1 free night stay after account approval (Category 1-5 hotels)
Unlimited Point Accumulation
5 points for every $1 spent at over 3,600 Marriott locations
2 points for every $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline, and at car rental agencies & restaurants
1 point for every $1 spent on purchases anywhere else
15 nights credit toward Elite status every year upon account anniversary
Earn 1 Elite Night Credit for every $3,000 spent
1 free night stay every year after account anniversary (Category 1-5 hotels)

$85 annual fee

https://www.firstusa.com/cgi-bin/...e=appterms

free nights are only at category 1-4 (1st year) and category (1-5) every afterwards. I and are usually not in destination cities rather on the outskirts

15,000 points get you $50 worth gift cards

In May, Marriott introduced a new top tier category 9 and reassign many existing hotels to different categories. According to Loyalty Traveler, of the current 344 category 5 hotels, more than half will increase to a higher category. This means that those hotels will no longer be available for the annual free night benefit of the Marriott Premier card With the Marriott card, though, the free nights are only valid for 6 months.

I got this the last time it came around. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't. I'm not a traveler. Recently, it did come in handy so I did use my free night, Courtyard, and now I'm sitting on 70K Marriott points that nobody wants.. Frown

Like the OP suggested. If you want, you can convert your points into a week long vacation which is described in the Flyertalk link provided in detail.

If the possibility of a future vacation sounds good and you travel often requiring hotel stays, this card might be for you but if you want to convert points into $$$ in your hand, this IS NOT the card for you..

I'll hang onto it for a while. You never know, I guess.. BTW/FYI, I had them send me a new card with a magnetic strip instead of the chipped card. At least I can use it at places (besides hotels) where I need to use a Visa card. Although Europe has widely converted to the chip technology, this country overwhelmingly still uses the old magnetic strip for credit card transactions.

we have had this card for a couple of years now. Used it for a travel package last month. For 300,000 points, stayed 7 nights in a $325/ night hotel, and 4 round trip airfares from the mi dwest to Kauai, Hawaii. With Megabonus promotions on all the time, every two nights I pay for gets a free night certificate. Overall, this card works for me.

Wow! Well done. Hadn't thought about saving my points for a travel package. Just redeemed 4 certificates for 4 nights on Maui, and saving points for nights on Oahu for next year. But maybe racking up ~300K for a package is the way to go. Thanks for the idea.

wifey got this card few months back and now we are currently on vacation .. enjoying a 5 day stay at one of the newer hotels in LA...

Note : if u book a room for 4 nights with the same rate/points , 5th night is free.. so if u play it well you can enjoy a nice week vacation.
