My local Sam's Club has the Stanley 450 Amp Jump Starter with Compressor on clearance for $29.81, I've been watching this drop in price for the last few weeks and this is an in Club only price, If you have a Sam's Club membership you order this online for in Club pickup at this price. Not all stores have this for the clearance price, another club a little further away still has it for $49.81, so this is YMMV. I bought this at the original price of $67.xx several moths ago, so this is a great deal. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/450-...tid=156762 change the zipcode under 'Pick up for free' to your zipcode and do a search to find your in club price.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

No, you can pick it up for $30 less ($29.81) if your club has reduced the price.

As I said, I own this and it's worth the price I paid ($67.xx) but at $29.81 it's a no brainer. It does have a learning curve, so the challenged should be warned.

Princeton, NJ - 19.81 (sold out)
Edison, NJ - 49.81 (in stock)
Freehold, NJ - 25.00 (sold out)

Guess I'll watch the Edison store, they may follow the other stores in the area and drop the price.

A few in my area at that price.... but can't justify the need for it. I keep a pair of jumper cables in my trunk. Past 4 years I've used it about 5 times. 4 of those times were for other people. Never had an instance where I said "man wish I had a jump start pack"...

Can anyone care to elaborate?

it allows you to jump your car yourself or fill up your tires to get you home/anywhere until you replace/patch

Not arguing, but I guess those don't apply to me. I'm usually in the city/suburbs. Always easy to find someone to get a jump, and gas stations are plenty for me to fill air with. Even then I usually catch problems with my tire before they get flat. They tend to flatten overnight from a nail, but I see it and fix it before I leave while I'm at home.

shrugs.

I've had two of these in the past (without the "air compressor")... one was a Wallyworld off-brand, the other was a much more expensive Schumacher. Both only lasted a year or two. This product seems to combine two crappy "emergency" tools. A good set of jumper cables and a tire pump last much longer.
