I couldn't find it either in the listing, but the $200 eGift Card does show up when you add the TV to your cart.

I'm not familiar with the Vizio brand, but a friend of mine just got this at Walmart for $428.

He's telling me that the Dell one is last year model, not as good.

How do they compare? Thanks.

I'm not an expert, but the 401iA3 looks nicer to me. Also, Wal Mart is selling this TV for $478. So if Wal Mart is selling it for $50 more than the one your friend got, I would say describing it as "not as good" is probably incorrect. Also, "last year's model" if it's a midrange or high end set is often better than the brand new model if it's the low end set.

Most people, myself included, think "Smart TV" is generally not worthwhile in most situations. If you're going to hook up a game console, a Blu-Ray, a Tivo, or any other number of devices, those will give you all the functionality and usually do it better.

It doesn't say, but probably about 90 days. The ones I got most recently were received on 5/8 and expire 8/6.

From Dell's website:
Promotional e-Gift Card ships separately from purchase and typically arrives in 10-20 days from ship date via email and carries a 90 day expiration (except where prohibited by law).

He mentioned that last year's model was Edge lit vs this year's model is Local dimming which results in a better picture. I don't know anything about LEDs so I'm at a loss, the M series look better designed but if the picture quality is not as good...

I just looked at the specs and it technically is true that this one is edge lit and your friend's has a full array of backlights. That said, from the specs page, it looks as if the "full array" of backlights can only be dimmed in 6 groups. Much more expensive TVs have a ton of LEDs that can each be dimmed individually, which is why people think that the full array is better. Again...I'm not an expert, and I'm really not trying to convince you either way, but lots of reviews that I've read over the years say that the full array backlight/local dimming is only well implemented on MUCH more expensive TVs. I think either TV would be fine, but I would certainly choose the slicker looking one that is also a good bit cheaper (after factoring in the GC). Both TVs have hundreds of reviews on Amazon...this one has an average rating of 4.1 vs. your friend's which has an average rating of 4.0. Amazon also sells this TV for $91 more...so for whatever reason, all retailers seem to think this TV is worth more money.

How good is this TV for quality? I am looking at non-3d LG tvs for 599 on amazon. This is crazy cheap compared to them.

Has anyone tried to do more than one of these dell promos on any one item?

I need three 40" TVs - these fit what I'd like to get.

Can I order three and get three GCs? One order? Three Separate? Different accounts?
