To get overly technical, the K70 RGB will have the LEDs inside the switch rather than PCB-mounted. For the record, my blue LED K70 is still going strong, purchased last October.
Not only do we get the pretty colors and the choice of 16 million of them, but this switch design is actually a bit different than all other iterations of the MX, so that's exciting in and of itself
My blue LED bought as soon as the k70 was available a year ago started to lose LEDs a month after I got it. Heard the Red LEDs are more reliable (they stopped making the blue/silver KB) so I finally got around to RMAing it through corsair. They gave me free shipping and agreed to replace mine with a red LED k70 with brown switches so not all a loss. The only switch available at launch was the cherry mx Red. other than that, I love this keyboard. Just sent mine out to them yesterday, so I probably won't have the replacement for a week or two, but I'm getting a whole different version so i can't complain.
