Well...actually the Lodge Color line isn't Embarrassment

This comes up from time to time when the pieces get posted.
The Lodge black cast iron is forged in the USA.

When the question was asked on WalMart.com:
1. Made in the USA?

It was answered by Lodge themselves:
A:
This Dutch Oven and the entire Lodge Color Porcelain Enamel on Cast Iron cookware is made to our exact specifications in China.

I chose the blue dutch oven but it's $77+ so then I chose the red one & it's $50. The burgundy looks ok in photos but not sure how it would look in person. I know I'm being cheap but I was hoping to spend $45 & not $50.

I almost ordered the burgundy one when Amazon had it with the others the first time at $45 (a few weeks ago). Held off and ended up getting the purple one. If you look through the last thread I put up with these, there was someone who posted that they got the maroon one when it was priced at $57 I think, and they said they loved it. You might be able to PM them and see if they can snap a photo?

I ended up buying the 15 inch skillet.

And, after doing a lot of research.... reading, I bought the 7.5 quart dutch oven in blue for $64. This is $14 cheaper than the 6 quart in blue which is my first color choice. I'm a potter and I've made a lot of items in blue so this will be a good match.
