If you look on ebay there's a listing with 10 pics in total with most of them showing what this Chromebook looks like in real life. Just wish it had better pic of the screen. It was nice to see pics that weren't on review sites like CNET. I've been wanting to get my Mom a Chrome book and almost jumped on the 14 in screen one that had been posted about until the mentions of it having an awful screen. The 11.6 in screen ones just seem small for someone with not so good eyesight.
With Ubuntu this thing might be a good deal. I wonder what all it's capable of.
With the Acer c720 chromebook, I can switch between chromeOS and Ubuntu in real-time with crouton. No need to dual-boot. With Ubuntu, there is firefox, spotify, skype, vlc player, steam, torrents, etc. I have stop using my windows laptop altogether for the past 2 months and plan to until classes start. I would be able use this for school if I did not need to install design programs for EE. The office productivity suites from googledocs, open office, libre, etc works fine for writing papers.

Ubuntu can run on ARM processors.
There are quite a few Youtube videos and other blogs etc, on the subject. You don't get 100% of the functionality but everything mentioned above by the poster running Linux on his Chromebook would work on the ARM.
I'm not going on research I did on the internet. We have Ubuntu running on one of my kids Samsung Chromebooks.
