Finally...finally...finally Straight Talk came out with a good budget level phone. This thing blows my crappy Samsung Galaxy Centura out of the water! As mentioned in the title, comes stock with Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Most of their higher level phones don't even have 4.4 yet! Plus it runs on Verizon CDMA towers.

This is of course budget level, however, so there are some trade-off's, such as no forward-facing camera, no flash on rear camera (only 3 mp anyway), and small screen at just 3.5". Little added bonus is that it comes with a 4 GB micro sd card! Straight Talk is selling for $59.99 direct right now, so grab one from Wally World for almost half as much! Their 2-year service plan is only $6 at this price range, so we're talking around $40 after tax with store pick-up. Don't forget cashback sites also to bring her down a bit. Going to be hard to beat that deal right now on a new phone. Cheers!!!!

Wow that is a good deal for what appears to be a good phone. A shame it is not GSM. I should get one and put it in my guest bathroom. To hell with magazines.

One of the biggest advantages is that it's NOT GSM. Verizon has the best voice network, hands down. Granted, their 3G doesn't compare to AT&T's HSPA+ (call it 3.5G), but you simply will not have better cellular service with any GSM carrier.

Large 3.5" screen? Lol

Isnt their a galaxy light that would be similar? I don't think straight talk with verizon allows us g LTE service so why not go Page plus instead of straight talk with verizon?

This is a great deal but I dropped straight talk after only a couple months when I discovered republic wireless and their unlimited talk, text, and 3g for $29/mo w/ a $99 or was it $149? phone. I upgraded to the moto g 16gb that was really pricey ($179+ s/h) but my new plan is only $24.77/mo with tax now for unlimited everything! (10% off beta disc)

Yes, this is going to be a great option for only $30. You're biggest downside would be screen size if only using for wifi though. Someone else posted the Moto G, which has a larger screen and better processor, but has older version of Android OS and costs more (around $50-$60). For only $30 and comes with a 4GB memory card, this is a great option!

I believe that you are on the Sprint network. Not everyone has good sprint reception. I tried it about 4 years ago and problems.
