Just wanted to share a new cell phone plan / service that I found at HowardForums [howardforums.com]. There's a new wireless company that is selling T-Mobile service at $20/line/month cheaper than buying directly from T-Mobile. This seems like a great deal for those who aren't using family plans on T-Mobile.

For example, T-Mobile's popular Simple Choice $50 plan is $30/month at Harbor Mobile. That includes the same T-Mobile postpaid features such as:
  • unlimited talk
  • unlimited US/international text
  • 1GB of LTE data, then throttled
  • free tethering
  • unlimited international 2G data / texting
  • free music streaming
  • (these features were mentioned on their Twitter/Facebook pages)
Basically, it seems they're just reselling T-Mobile's corporate/enterprise plan that T-Mobile sells for $20/line [t-mobile.com] to corporations. They also have the 3GB, 5GB, and unlimited data options if you need more data.

$20/line/month Cheaper= $30/line/month PLUS flat $3 Fee/Federal Tax per line, the final bill should be $33

Be ready to show your taxid ...if they request ,its only for business people . not for individuals

Please keep in mind you can not port an existing postpaid T-mobile number to our service at this point. Prepaid has had lots of success.

There is a record of successfully porting from T-Mobile $30 Data Plan to Harbor, see Post 333

P.S. Everyone is technically a "Sole Proprietorship" business which uses their social security number as the tax id.

-------------------
How to get a free SIM?
Check SD. Sim from t-mobile.com is sometimes on sale for $0.99 or 1 cents. Make sure it has not expired before using it for harbor mobile.

------------------
From green_key: Per chat conversation w/Justin:
1. Coverage is same as t-mobile postpaid
2. Domestic Roaming for voice, text & data, international roaming for text, data. International Voice is available at additional cost, but is being discouraged by HM
3. Data is cap at plan, then throttled at 2g speed.
4. mms (voice/pic) text is included, free as part of text plan.
5. Short code can be enabled upon request.
6. Call forwarding allowed, see#2 for international roaming
7. Will work on t-mobile locked phone.
8. Will work with t-mobile unactivated sim card, as long as sim card has NOT expired. Also need to call/contact harbor mobile with sim card number for activation.
9. There will be tax & fees. For example $3 for all states monthly AFAIK

It also mentions wifi calling. I thought most MVNO's didn't offer that.. looks interesting.

Why not Brightspot through Target? You get 3gb of 4g and 300 minutes for $35 and you get a $25 rebate check every 6 months.

This is the only prepaid carrier that offers free international roaming (text & 2G data) AND according to their Instagram page, they also have free music streaming, just like tmobile. Wifi calling included as well!
This blows brightspot out of the water.

Only thing I would be wary about is that it is brand new and looks to be offering non-MVNO services cheaper than T-Mobile offers. Not sure how they struck up that deal.

What's the difference between this and MetroPCS? My brother just got the unlimited MetroPCS for $60/month and his Samsung S3 only does 4G and not LTE but we swapped sim cards and tested and got same speeds as they're on the same network. He didn't even need to unlock it which I thought he would have to.
