Update: The item is temporarily backordered, but you may order now and it will ship once it is back in stock.

Overtons.com has Honda EU2000iKC 1600 Watt Portable Generator for $999.99 - $200 w/ promo code JULY4TH = $799.99. Freight is $15. Thanks redogman67

Featured User Comment: Do some research on the EU series generators from Honda and you'll see why these demand a premium. I run a Honda PowerHouse Dealer and we sell these normally from $899-$999 and it's hard to keep them in stock. This price is steal! Just make sure to read your owners manual though, we also service these and run into simple operator issues from time to time. That's why we always fire them up and go through the starting procedure etc before the customer leaves. - froggie3kb

Price Comparison: Our research indicates that the Honda EU2000iKC 1600 Watt Portable Generator is $184 lower (18% savings) than the next best available price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $999. - Corwin

The word "generator" in the title would be really helpful. I wasn't sure if it was an overpriced av receiver or a really cheap motorcycle.

Had my eye on one of these for a few years now and never seen them new this cheap. $855 shipped to VA. Hopefully they run this same deal next July 4th and I can add a second one and tie them into my house via a transfer switch.

just remember. if you want to hook them together you need a 2000 companion model. these generators are great. I just got one from max tool for 899 shipped. no kidding, I used it on my camper and it ran 13 hours on eco mode on 1 gallon of gas.

am I missing something? A 1600 watt genny for over $800 hardly seems like a deal no matter who makes it.

I just purchased 2. Live in VA as well. Just wish they had a 240volt connection...

Honda doesn't make AV receivers

Nice for campers I suppose. But 1600wts is kinda lame for home use, especially for more than $200.
You have to buy in pairs to get power that is actually usable.

PS: I had a honda 2500watt generator....used it 6 times for more than a couple of days. Paid $400 for it. Sold it 10 years later for $250. Never had a problem with it. 2500 watts just did'nt cut it, so upgraded to a 4500wt model from Home Depot. Never had a problem with it either.

I agree, I came in here thinking it was a scooter or something.
