Apparently it's similar to a raspberry pi. Free device and it's value is between $40-60 I think. https://www.windowsondevices.com/

Half baked design and 500 times slower than an arduino
http://joe.blog.freemansoft.com/2...nking.html

From an Oct 2013 post on this board: "Intel ... the company is running a program for universities where it will give away 50,000 of the boards to over 1,000 universities over the course of the next year and a half."

And, an interesting comment [hothardware.com] in thread about how useless the processor on these boards is.

This comment is full of BS. Board has I2C, PWM and on par with Arduino with much faster CPU. http://arduino.cc/en/ArduinoCerti...telGalileo

This is an embedded Linux board with some Arduino compatibility. There is no audio/video out, no GPU. You can't easily use this as a PC replacement like a Raspberry Pi.

I have experience with all of them. I'm sure I used a website that had each of those.

Well technically running into someone who speaks any random language (and any other number of things) is "having an experience" with that language.

It's like an Arduino on sterioids. It's Arduino compatible so can use all your existing shields. Aren't you glad you stocked up at RS during the blowout? But it has a 32 bit Pentium processor. That's a massive upgrade from the Arduino.

Those were optional questions. Never volunteer more information than necessary.

I saw this at The Maker Faire at Intel's booth. Very interested in getting some stuff made on this.
