Is this better than TrendMicro Titanium Security?

I deployed webroot at work. It is excellent for preventing viruses with it's scanning methods, but is poor at removing existing viruses/spyware. I would use it personally, knowing this requirement for a clean environment before installing.

Some of the pros include a lightweight install, definitions which are frequently updated from their server, and it scans unknown files with a sandbox to see if they are writing to areas they should not be. The management console for enterprise use was a snap.

If you want to use it seriously, I'd do a clean Windows install first. Or if you are confident in your skills, remove existing viruses beforehand. I get headaches just thinking about doing that vs. a simple clean Windows install.

a few years back I had a hard time uninstalling webroot after deciding on using another antivirus software package...it was a bit annoying that they imbedded their software so aggressively, almost like...a virus...
Norton was the same thing. It could really mess up your pc if you didn't uninstall it using their uninstallation program, but I had to learn the hard way. Same goes for webroot. Had it for a long time, but now I use a good freebie one. Anyway, I would suggest going to webroots website to download their uninstallation software in case you need to safely remove it.

You can disable the requirement for Captcha in the Advanced Settings (click on the gear) under the Access Control section. Smilie
Thank you sir! I find it ironic that you have to type another captcha to disable the captcha Smilie

thanks for the info, I think that's what I ended up doing (it was a couple of years ago, so I can't quite remember, but I was able to finally get it off of my PC)...

Yes. That's really an additional benefit of webroot that it can coexist with another av.
