The "TV Portal" app is gaining a *lot* of popularity on Android devices.

It allows you to peruse a movie / tv show index (just about every movie or show you could imagine), and simply play (stream a torrent) on your device. Bear in mind, the content is NOT curated by the app, the devs are simply offering it as a *portal* to the content that is provided by users such as ourselves across the interwebs.

Basically, you can watch movies and tv shows for FREE - just about ANY title you can imagine.

Now, I don't much care for the distribution channel on this, but the app itself is pure GOLD. You'll need to install the "Slide.me" app browser in order to download TV Portal. There are other links available, including a dropbox direct download link, but this is the easiest for most people to access.

Once you have the app loaded, perform a "search" within the app's Movie database, and look up "reddit". The app will then ask you "When does the narwhal bacon?" - in turn, respond "midnight", and your app will be bannerless.

IF YOU LIKE IT - please support the developers. They're putting a LOT of work into making this something truly outstanding!

Lets not fool ourselves. They are putting a lot of effort into something they knowingly will be leveraged for pirating of movies. Yes they are not supplying the content and no im not saying they are doing anything illegal anymore than a gun maker being responsible for a death by gun.

Just some people are easily confused as to what is going on so stating for the record.

Sad that people are confused. It's torrenting. It's been around a good while. It's pretty damn awesome and a nice middle finger to the media companies who need to offer us "Everything, anytime, for X price" in this digital age.

Just steal what you're gonna steal and shut up. No need to shit the carpet on your way out of the store because you're on some noble crusade against the evil media companies.

I am a loyal user of this app. Best app there is out there no question. I would be more than happy to pay if it was allowed in Play store/ App Store. I had first downloaded it via amazon app store and just for the sake of this app, i have been sideloading amazon app on every androids i own.

Be careful downloading apps from outside the play store. They're usually full of malware because they escape Google scanners. This app is popular so it probably isn't exploited but as a principle I don't download apps from outside the play store

Exactly! Nothing pisses me off like some moron who believes that has has a constitutional right to free entertainment. It is a PRODUCT! Products cost money. When you steal content, you're not "sticking it to the man", you're taking the food from the plates of 99% of the people who built that product. Watch the ending credits. once you get past the first few lines, everyone of the people listed there are scraping by just like the rest of us.

Movies seem to buffer too much to make watching enjoyable. Anyone else? I'm on wireless.

I'm trying it out and watching Flight.

ETA: Well got it to work better from another link.

Anyone try popcorn time yet?

It's for movies and TV shows both.
