Thread Details

The Costco in Colorado Springs, has a great deal on the FEIT LED BR30 FLOODLIGHT, 65W replacement, warm white 2700K, 750 lumens-13W, 93 CRI, dimmable - $9.99.

It's interesting that online, at Costco, they don't have this deal. They show the regular FEIT BR30 with CRI of 80 at $15. So you should probably check out your local Costco for this deal. I bought 25, see the pics below.

While you might find regular 65W replacement floodlights on sale as low as $10, what makes this a Slick deal is the CRI of 93 (plus the return policy at Costco). Even the standard A19 high CRI CREE LED costs $15.
On amazon it costs $11.74 + shipping.

This is from FEIT website, packaging is different but the specs are the same.

Also, Costco had the FEIT CFL floodlight 65W replacement for $4, after the local energy company (CSU) pays $7 (11-7=4). That's also a great, slick deal, but I wanted LEDs, not CFLs.

Check it out!

93 CRI and 750 lumens (though at 13.5Watts). Great deal....

Isn't CRI a TV show?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is subsidized. When I was in Colorado Springs, I bought some Cree bulbs for $2 cheaper/bulb compared to TX.

It might be, until you hang a blue light on your ceiling Wink

It is a subsidized deal, as all these cheap Costco bulb deals are. OP, please add YMMV to thread title so we know it's not a national deal.

SD really needs to have a "regional deals" board...

The CFLs are subsidized, but not the LEDs. You might find these in your local Costco.

FEIT ELECTRICS LED bulbs only have a 3yr warranty.
Apparently this bulb has a 5yr warranty.

This is $7.99 or so in Phoenix AZ, subsidized by SRP Electric. The A19 3 packs are only $12.99 or so. These light up GREAT! The color is crisp and fills up the room nicely. They do have 5 year warranty. I just wish they'd carry some daylight or 4100k/5000k bulbs too. Also wish they'd have a multi-pack that'd be even cheaper ;-)

Also, IKEA has A19 bulbs 600 lumen for $4.49. Haven't tried though. Home Depot constantly has different brands on sale that work out to be $10 per bulb in a 4 or 6 pack. http://www.homedepot.com/p/TCP-65.../205386998

So the $9.99 price is not a local deal, since they have it in CO and CA.

The TCPs at Home Depot have a CRI of 80, these FEITs - 93. Not the same lights.

Which part of NorCal have you seen the subsidy in?

The OP deal is available in central Texas...no subsidy. Of all the fixtures in which I could use these, only two(actually in the powder room) would benefit from this low lumen output. When we use the cans in the kitchen, it's for max lighting while prepping and cooking, so we have a greater output there...same in the media/game room. I could possibly replace one dimmable CFL with one of these; but I reckon I won't need to buy 30 !!!Wink

Of course, spending twenty bucks on lamps for the powder room is silly unless I need those original lamps somewhere else...they will likely last many years in there!
