Perfect for the man cave (garage). Added a 3/yr. SQ in home warranty for $14.83 via Amazon. Was $19.99 in cart until I went to checkout, then it dropped. Dunno why, but cool. Thanks OP.

Good post on a good price.
I was going to order this so I went to the manufacturer's website to download the manual. It tells you that you can buy it at Amazon or Home Depot. At Home Depot, it's not available as it's discontinued. Not very important to me. Then I saw that there seems to be no way to attach it to an external sound system--no audio outputs except for headphones. That's a deal breaker for me. I have an old Surround Sound system that I don't want to give up. Does anyone know if that's typical? I'm looking to replace a 30 year old TV.
Anyway, thumbs up from me.

I plan to use one of THESE [meritline.com] to connect external speakers. Dunno if it will work for you, but worth a look. HTH...

Do you know that the adapter will work? If so, that would solve my issue. Thanks.

I'm guessing that the use of the headphone jack will mute the TV speakers, but other than that I cannot see why not. This is what I'm using now with an older Visio.

Great TV. TCL is a hidden gem. I have the 42" version which I picked out 2 black fridays back and the picture quality and contrast are amazing. A little weak on the blue accuracy, but for 179 dollars shipped? I can live with it.

Not sure if this will help you, but I bought the same 42" version that the other person mentioned. I connected a Soundbar and Sub to it via this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00...hs_product

I just mute the TV speakers and the soundbar works great with it.

I have this (or very similar model) in my bedroom. The UI doesn't look or feel as clean as Samsung/Sony/LG, but this TV does the trick as a secondary. I had to tweak the color saturation/hues/brightness a lot when I first set up, but it looks pretty good now. Hard to beat for this price.

Just try a 3.5mm to RCA. Do that on my TV for an old receiver, works okay.
