Today Verizon announced upgrades.
  • If you had 15/5 you would get 25/25 at same price.
  • 50/25 is getting 50/50
  • 75/35
  • 150/65 - 150/150
  • 300/65 - 300/300
  • 500/100 - 500/500

Important Note:

MEMBER TIP BY: KENAF

The offers people see vary depending on (a) market and (b) amount of time left on contract. Getting the upgrade via My Rewards is always free. Placing an order will net you anywhere from a temporary $15 reduction in monthly cost to a permanent $10 increase in monthly cost, again, depending on the market and the amount of time left on your contract.
  1. For some people who never had My Rewards + all you had to do was just SIGN UP and you would receive upgrade no price increase or anything..
  2. I already had My Rewards + and had to do upgrade and system triggered 10$ price increase I will be arguing with Retentions in the morning!
  3. HOWEVER many people had actually gotten discounts instead of price going up.

It's free you have to do it by logging onto myverizon.

Also for new customers I was able to have 75/75 + Select HD for 60$ on contract amazing deal! I pay for same thing 74.99 , and now billing mistake raised it to 84.99 already spoke with Verizon to fix it so my rate goes back to 74.99$.

Here is the new 75/75 Tier (with 1 computer streaming something)

This is the 60$ deal I found. (NYC/Brooklyn)

How to: TRY OPTION #2 first later people reported that if you didn't have myrewards already by signing up now it's faster

  1. https://www.verizon.com/foryourho...rizon.aspx
  2. Then go to: My Services
  3. Add Upgrade Services
  4. Then you will see your old TIER and new symetric tier , add it to cart .. then checkout etc..

make sure to capture screenshots of what prices it shows! for me system gave me a 10$ more later and I had to call them and they are working now on fixing it.

it's FREE but in my case system made a mistake!

If you don't see you might have to join My Rewards+ which should take few minutes max
TO people who not see it or CALL Customer Service

Possible HOW-TO #2 might not work for everyone:

By TOMZ

Signed into account
Tried to change speed tier (per instructions in wiki post)
Yellow box showed up on top of page saying I was "eligible for upgrade when joining myrewards+"
Clicked to join myrewards+ (enter DOB and accept terms)
Box popped up confirming I would now get symmetrical speeds.
Took about 10 minutes until the speed test reflected the change, and I did not have to change the speed tier... just join myrewards+

Everyone get's different discounts so don't say it's terrible some people get more then other I get no discounts on TV all it is free 75/35 - to 75/75 upgrade

Might not be AVAILIABLE everywhere check FIOS page put your address and zip code and see what it shows

I have 9 months left on contract PRICE will not change for next 9 months , after 9 it's OUT OF contract so then I can decide to re-bundle or not do not get confused! check how much time on contract you have 'if you have contract'

Some people say it shows it will cost them more this might be because system might not be updated for everyone yet Verizon should be upgrading everyone soon anyways so if you want it now and website shows you can get it then do it if you wish.

Also if website does not show new speeds Customer Service Reps should be able to do it.

Email sent out by Verizon,

Quote :
Dear Valued Verizon Customer,

We are contacting you regarding your FiOS® account. Please be aware that an error was discovered in our system that may have caused your account to briefly reflect a charge for a speed upgrade. We are very sorry for any confusion this error may have caused, as this upgrade was promised to you for FREE. We have corrected the discrepancy and you will not be charged for the faster upload speed.

Thank you for your loyalty as a Verizon customer and we hope you’re enjoying faster sharing experiences with your FREE Internet speed upgrade.

Sincerely,

Your Verizon Team
1. You don't need to do anything to get the free symmetrical upgrade (i.e. Verizon will increase your upload speed to match your current download speed). 95% of customers will receive this upgrade automatically with no customer intervention. The roll-out will take place over the next few weeks.

2. For some customers, Verizon has ALSO created new upgrade offers. You can review the current offers for your account by going to the Add/Upgrade Services link from the My Verizon website. Some of these offers are very good, but they have nothing to do with whether or not you get the symmetrical upgrade.

ore details can be found here. [quot;http]

*3. You do NOT need to sign up for a new contract or order new service. Just log in to your Verizon account, and sign up for My Rewards+ (free), and when you complete that sign up (takes 2 seconds), you'll get a note saying that your upload now matches your download. It takes 5 minutes to take effect.

*Reiteration: If for some reason signing up for My Rewards+ is not possible, or not working - BE CAREFUL on ordering new service. At first glance it looks like the price is the same, but when you look at the order details, it could be going up significantly during the 2nd year of your contract.
Edit: People are getting charged $10 more a month even when only signing up for My Rewards+ without changing any services. Proceed with caution.

go to upgrade services and you should see symetric option.

If you don't see it view it in different browser.
