Through Ameriprise portal - but has been open to everyone on the other thread about it - they've since added the signup bonus however. ** WARNING - There are some complaints that the 25K bonus was not awarded to non-amerprise customers - take a screen shot at sign up**

https://www262.americanexpress.co...xpress.com

25,000 MR points with 3K spend within 3mo
$450 annual fee waived first year, plus $0 authorized users for first year (Normally $175)

Other perks include:
$400 travel incidental reimbursements (One airline, per calendar year, so $200 for 2014 and $200 starting in Jan 2015) Seat upgrades, luggage fees, and some airline gift cards count as incidentals.
$100 global entry (or TSA precheck) reimbursement for primary and authorized users
Boingo internet free use - airports and other places
Limited selection of airport lounges (Delta, Priority Pass, the Centurion lounges in DFW, LAS and soon LA)
All the other usual amex plat perks: http://exploreplatinum.americanexpress.com/

With the bonus and waived first year, this is better than most amex platinum offers even with larger bonuses.

Since people keep asking:

This offer is BETTER than a 50 or 75K offer if you assume 1c/MR and 1-3 additional users:

50k = $500 - 450 AF - 175 AU = -$125
75k = $750 - 450 AF - 175 AU = $125
100k = $1000 - 450 - 175 AU = $375

This offer:
25k = $250 - 0 AF - 0 AU = $250

So yes, the 100k offer is $125 better. If you don't want an additional card then this offer is $50 worse than the 75k offer.

Additional users get lounge access and $100 global entry reimbursement - they do not get their own $200 airline reimbursement (It is shared between all accounts)

There was a previous deal on this but it did not include any signup bonus:

Does your credit score get bounced around if you cancel like that? I might be traveling on short notice soon, could use a bump in perks from my gold card.

Well that was a few years ago Wink Was it 100k with no annual fee? If not and you assume annual fee + auth user fee thats $625 right there in fees saved - and then adding on the 25K MR.. it's pretty close. They've also since added the global entry reimbursement which is $100 per card.

That said, the airline lounge program used to be much better.

If you're plannign to buy a house or something in the next month or two, dont - but otherwise no, your score wont be significantly impacted by the application, or the cancellation of the card in a year.

Airline reimbursement is a fixed amount shared across all cards - so $200 per account not card.

Global entry reimbursement includes additional cards

Do they run a credit check for the additional card members? Trying to decide if I should get separate or just under one account.

They had a 100k mile deal? But did it have the waiver of the annual fee? The thing is that you can buy airline gift cards with certain airlines with the $400 so this is still a decent deal. With the miles, $600 in flights. Although $1200 would have been better with the 100k mile deal. Unless they didn't waive the annual fee, which would bring it down to $800 -$175 with the companion card.

The first option, without a doubt.

It is a soft pull for additional card members.

If you assume 1c/MR point then your additional 10K MR is only worth $100, vs the $450 or $625 (fee+addl user fee) you've paid to get them.

If your MR signup bonus is <100K w/o fee waived then this deal is better.

You mean the signup bonus? It's one signup bonus per account - so you'd want another application for the other user.

You'll also need to spend 3K/card within 3mo (Numerous ways to do this if this is outside of your normal spending)

Also note - if you have an amex card and apply - and get denied - it is a soft pull. Amex only does hard pulls on no card users - or on approval.

Let me make sure I am understanding you correctly, I already have an Amex Card - so if I apply for this then its a soft pull?
