Guy I need help on finding a good deal of tickets and hotels for our first family trip overseas OMG

Low down.. 2 adults. 10yr old 5yr old 3yr old and 2-3 months old baby. He'll be coming out b4 1st week of Sept. My hands will be full of course. 2 months trip from 1st week of Nov till 1st week of Jan. Everyone have passport except the new baby coming out. All will have American passport except my wife (Phil). Plan to go to Phil then to Japan. Going to Tokyo, Japan for 7-10 days meeting up with my brother and his family. My bro just got station in Iwakuni, Japan last month. So this is the right time to go for a reason look around But my wife wants to go to Hello Kitty Land and Disney Japan and I cant say no. But in Phil I have no problem.

So I need help getting deals on tickets and hotels. And input on where to go and see in Japan. This is going to be an expensive trip so I need all the deals I can get.

Should I open a new rewards card and which one to get? I wanted to open Chase Sapphire or SPG but she told me she dont want to pay for the yearly fee.

Tnks in advance

Here goes nothing... you didn't say where you were from, but you seem pretty fluent in English so I will assume you're in Glasgow.

You can get some RT tickets from GLA to PHL for about $1,000/person (577 pounds) but it might be worth it to pay an extra hundred dollars or so to avoid one of the layovers.

From there PHL to Japan is a bit tricky but you could probably do like a single stop in DOH on Qatar Airways. That's what I'd do, anyway.

It's posts like the OPs that really give me less and less hope that the human race will survive more than a few generations.

I still don't know if the OP means Philadelphia or Philippines from their abbreviation.

Maybe you can get cheap tickets by buying your tickets in the Philippines. your flight from Phil to Tokyo.

A friend of mine told me that there are lots of low priced international ticket selling online im not sure if its Philippine Airline or Cebu Pacific. you can check out their websites as well.

I think this time is not good for travel to Philippine. There are may sudden storms. You should follow the forecast program before order any trip

Have you traveled with your family away from home in the us yet? How do your kids deal with airplanes? Saving money by doing a longer flight might not be worth it in the long run compared to a more expensive but less stressful flight with no stopovers.
***To enter Japan you will need a passport for the baby*** I think you may need one for PI too. You will also want to check on visa requirements to travel to Japan on a Philippine passport. And depending how long you are staying in each country you will want to check on the requirements for that too. It does not matter how much you save on a ticket if you are not let into a country because your papers aren't right.
Generally sites like TripAdvisor will let you set up ticket alerts to advise you when a ticket goes on sale and you can do that for this trip. Generally the cheap tickets to PI are ending in September once you hit fall to winter the price skyrockets due to the holidays and festivals.
Flying to Japan from PI will be cheaper if you buy the ticket there which means your best bet is to have family help you set that up or alternately hire a travel agent who specializes in PI or Japan. There are times when a professional is actually needed and this is one of those times when I think it would greatly help you. Do you speak Japanese or your Wife? If not you might want to stick to tourist spots or join up with a travel group. Traveling with kids is hard and the more people there to help support you the more enjoyable a vacation you will have.

* I have been to both countries multiple times for trips

P.S you are getting so much flack about your post because people here don't really like text speak and abbreviations. Text speak such as B4 instead of before was used because they use to charge for each letter in text messages. Considering you are asking a lot of people here to use a lot of time doing research for you it is considered polite to spend the few extra moments to use the full spelling.

THANKS jennieve! I personally appreciate it when correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling are used in these forum posts. It only takes a few extra seconds! I think many contributors would be much more motivated to try to do research and help others when the original posters give thorough background information in a succinct fashion. That is my two cents, at least.

Your situation is best suited with United Airlines. There's a flight from SFO that goes to Hawaii then Guam then Manila. The return flight from Manila goes to Narita then SFO. It would have 2 stops going to Manila but I think it will be good because of your children. Cost wise its not that expensive probably because of the 2 stopover.
