What was the verdict on these working on postpaid plans again?
Someone will have to chime in but I believe the verdict is that I don't think you can do it. I also think that if you get one of the other versions (Boost maybe?) that you may be able to flash it to Page Plus. Again, I'm only rehashing what I remember but I haven't been that interested until recently.
But the Moto G is an amazing phone. I was stunned with mine and I loved it. However Verizon 3G isn't something I'd love. My unlocked Moto G got 12 Mbps downloads on T-Mobile. Verizon 3G would get around 1.5 Mbps in the best situation.
I don't have too much experience with these prepay ones. Can I simply use it as a "iPod touch" like device, taking photos, games, musics, video etc? I've got a niece visiting and I have been thinking what to get her as a gift, was thinking about an iPod touch, but this phone at this low price, I'd go for it.

this is what i was thinking... $58 for a small tablet (effectively) sounds like a good deal itself.
I picked one up... although it will not ship for 2 weeks! The price is good, although it has been down to $50, but Amazon is usually around $65-80 on a regular basis. I actually have Verizon prepaid, so I can use this on there if I want... but I really purchased it as a small tablet, and will setup a WiFi phone on there to use at home and whatnot. They have KitKat released for it already, so that will be the first thing I do.
A while back it went for $50 at best buy. This version have only 8gb internal but it's still a great Wi-Fi device. You can look up YouTube on how to skip Verizon activation screen. Also it is getting Android 4.4.4 so Motorola does a great job keeping their Moto phones up to date.
I just got one to try out Cricket, which is now owned by ATT. If you are on their service for 2 months you get a 50 rebate on the phone and a $25 credit for being referred by another user. I believe that after 2 months, maybe 3 Cricket will unlock it. I think that going rate on Ebay for unlock codes on these is about $6. It is a great phone for the price. Only issue is no SD card. You do get 50 GB of additional cloud storage from Google for 2 years just for the asking. Nice screen, very snappy performance, and Motorola has a free app which automatically migrates all you apps and data to your new phone. If your reception mandates you use Verizon this is a great deal.
