Saw this in HD while looking at a Husky tool chest combo. This one is a helluva lot better.

Top was $250. Now $200.
Bottom was $350. Now $300.

Not sure how mont stores are running this. Peachtree City, GA and Newnan GA both had them for this price.

Not sure if it's a deal or not, but I love the hole for the charger to go through on the top section...and I hate myself for wanting something so gimmicky

decent deal and decent product...but for not so much for money, i'd go with the 44" HF one which one is bigger and have more drawers. IMHO.

At only $59 more, the HF is FAR better.

have you seen the 44" one from harbor freight? this dewalt is 35.75" wide by 17.75" deep compared to 44" x 18". this dewalt with 11 drawers compared to 21 drawers. the steel gauge (thickness) used for construction between the two are similar. the HF is more money than this one though which more suited for tools junkie like me.

HF tool chests have a good rep. Search on the tool forums out there.

I'll agree with this. If I didn't already have part of a Craftsman chest I'd go the HF route!

Probably the most useful tool box reviews out there.

Edit: including comparing the HF box to all the big box brands

That's a good basic review comparing tool boxes from 2012. The Dewalt tool box was not around during that tool box review and is a nice alternative for those seeking an above average tool box at relatively affordable prices. No need to remove the HF emblem and a 3yr warranty versus 90 day.

Some nice features on the Dewalt to consider:
Heavy duty casters for increased durability
• Bottom Keys for internal locking mechanism with breakaway keys
• 100-pound auto return drawer slides for heavy duty storage capacity
• Extra Deep 12" Bottom Drawer
• 200lb Heavy Duty Bottom Drawer

When they label it as "new lower price", doesn't this mean that it is at least a semi-permanent decrease, so not really a deal?

Folks at the store said they were not going to carry them anymore. I guess this is a reduction before 'clearance'. However, the stores I went to were nearly out. One store still had one bottom. The other store has one bottom and one top left.
