The mere fact that you don't like the product doesn't mean it's not a good deal for others. I'm simply pointing out that this deal is cheaper than previous front page deals for the exact same item.

Here's the most detailed spec/performance breakdown on the N2830 I've found, for those interested. Performance is severely lacking, and I'd personally recommend adding $75-$100 to this, which would open up MUCH more capable options, but if you're on a VERY strict budget, only engage in VERY light tasking (web surfing/email/basic programs), and need a machine right now, it is a good price compared to recent, similar deals, and I suppose you could do worse...like a chromebook laugh out loud (laughing at the severe general restrictions, not necessarily the SoC they use).

* The only strength of this chip is it's VERY low TDP (power consumption), so all else equal you should get quite good battery life out of such a budget laptop...especially if you toss in an SSD.

Ignoring the CPU family is never a good idea. Checking the specs/ ratings is, as the poster above you did, and was kind enough to help explain it to us. That way you know what to really expect.

While on one hand, I would agree that Intel has put out some pretty capable Celerons, this one is actually based on the latest Atom architecture (Bay Trail), which, while nice for an Atom, is still pretty slow for a laptop (can't complain about the Bay Trail on my Venue Pro 8 tablet, though).
