I needed to replace a dead phone. I decided on the L90 and called T-Mobile(not a T-Mobile store the customer support number). The agent said that there was a promotion on the L90 for loyal T-Mobile customers and she could sell it to me for $50. I bought 2 at that price. Next day shipping and SIM cards were included. Tax was charged on the $50.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I placed the order on Saturday and the Email order confirmation does not include the price. I just called T-Mobile and they confirmed the $50 price, the order is arriving today at 3PM Eastern, and a receipt with the price will be in the package.

I'll try posting the receipt this evening.

Ok. I took my shot at the deal, didn't get it 100% to match the OP but I was close.
First off, I couldn't confirm the phone for $50, nor the free shipping and tax on JUST the $50. BUT this is what I did.

Loyalty department first off.

Rep said that there wasn't a promo on the L90 for $50, but since i've been such a LOYAL customer (over 12 years now), he said he's going to give me a $50 bill credit and then I can buy the phone for $99 either through him or at the store. But this is the catch, he said, since the way this was going.. If I didn't get the phone, I still get to keep the $50 in the end.

So because of this thread, I just got a $50 credit on my account applied regardless of me buying anew phone.

Thanks OP for an indirect savings.

Sounds like you just got a $50 credit per line which was used toward your upgrade. Not a specific promo on the L90 - good deal though. This all depends on your tenure, MRC, and previous credits (if any) that you've received in the past.

You may be right. I did start asking about other phones and the rep only quoted the L90 at a different price than what is on the T-Mobile web site.

There was no mention of MRC previous credits. I have no contract with T-Mobile, I have a monthly family plan. The only thing said was that since I am a loyal customer(7 years) that she can offer me the L90 for $50.

Not sure about that. You say that you got taxed on the $50 charge on the phone. Either way, in the end I think you got a deal tailored just for you on that one. The rep didn't mention anything about 1 day shipping nor a lower price on the phone. I would have to pay tax on the current price on the phone at $99.

You got a good loyalty deal with the rep.

Results from other people may vary, but i'm sure anybody who is a "loyal" customer may get something close.

I didn't call the loyalty department. It was through the standard phone upgrade department.

She said the overnight shipping was free because it was on back order. And the shipping would be applied to my monthly bill as a credit. I verified today and the credit has been applied. If the item is no longer back ordered then you may not be able to get the free shipping.

Whats up with the thumbs down? I just got off the phone with T-Mobile. 48 dollars for the L90 and 240 for the LG G2... Great prices on both phones! Thumbs up!

Unfortunately prepaid customer service is outsourced and they will not be able to offer anything remotely good like 'regular' customer care. The deals are for those on regular monthly service with multiple lines and long tenure with T-Mo.

I guess the thumbs down are because you have to be a TMO costumer to get this deal?
