Wonder if that's the percent off or the chances of actually getting to your destination.

Watch. It ends up being a bait & switch and you get stuck on Malaysia Airlines Part 3: Who knew North Korea's missiles could hit that far?

"Update 8/14/2014 @ 6:00PM Eastern – these are codeshare flights. What this means is that Malaysia Air is selling you the ticket under their flight numbers. However, its partner Cathay Pacific will be flying you across the Pacific as Malaysia Air does not fly between the United States and Asia. Here’s wikipedia entry on codeshare if you like more info.

This is a great deal if you're a rational person and realize that flying is still safer than driving and can capitalize on the devalued flight prices from everyone else overreacting with cognitive biases.

I'm already doing an asia trip to HK though else I would snap this up

Are you referring to HK or Malaysia? The flight is to Hong Kong.

Yeah, Singapore Air and Aseana do it as well. My MIL flew from NY to the PH with a stopover at Frankfurt. What a pain to call them about changing the flight though.

It be worth checking the terms of your current booking to see if it allows cancellations with no or little penalty.

Or if you plan to return in 2015, you may be able to change your current booking (usually allows 1 year from the date of the flight) and still take advantage of this deal.

Depends on the terms though. The cheapest fares usually allow rebooking with a small fee, but not a flat out cancellation.

If I am reading this correctly, if i want to book, I have to apply for a credit card to get $400 savings?? That's what it says on the 'how to book' if you scroll down

Thanks.
