For those who prefer a Windows 7 based PC.

Deelseaker posted a thread recently for $288 with 500GB HDD. The only major difference is that this desktop includes an extra 500GB HDD capacity and it's Windows 7 Premium instead of Windows 8.1

heck of a deal if you hate Windows 8. I didn't know brand new windows 7 based PCs existed minus custom or business end.

I'm kinda out of the loop when it comes to computers since this is the first one I have bought in 7-8 years. I am currently looking at the Inspiron 3647 [dell.com] from Dell. I have $100 in Dell gc's which would bring that one down to $400. Would it be worth the extra $150 to get the one from Dell over this deal?

For reference, I mainly use it for email, web surfing and the occasional back-up of game disc/dvds.

The performance bottleneck for most users is easily storage, moving to an SSD makes a world of difference for everyday use. As such, you'd be much better off buying the PC in this thread and then picking up an SSD, such as this
