Depending of the denominations of your gift card it might be better to shop using Shop Discover since you get 10% cash back ($85)

If you buy 3 yr squaretrade warranty and your TV gets replaced by Vizio within first few months cause it had issues, do you lose your ST warranty since in most cases warranty expires if the product is replaced ?

Just purchased! Thank you Smilie

Still need to solidify my plan for reselling the $250 dell gift card. I saw in other threads that people vouched for promocardxchange.com...anyone else care to chime in on that site?

Very nice set. You will want to calibrate it for the best picture. Out of the box it is less than desirable. See CNET [cnet.com] or Sound & Vision [soundandvision.com] for their settings.

^ Those setting are for the 55" and believe they are different settings than the 60". Purchased this deal.

eBay was having their 10% off coupon running yesterday so purchased a $500 Dell GC for $474 (-10% making it $423) and then paid the rest via debit card. Will end up being $840 total cost including tax and then will sell the $250 GC once received. Thanks SD.

Never had freight shipping to my house before. Does that mean a Semi will be coming down my street?

Possibly, depends on how they ship it. If it is a semi it will most likely be a 48' trailer (with a lift gate), not a 53. Often times though they transfer it to a better suited straight truck.

Also wanted to say I own this TV and overall its a great TV with one fixable exception, the active LED zones. the active LED zones cause pretty major ribbing, but shutting ALZ off fixes this 100%. I wouldn't hesitate on a deal like this. If your concerned with the ribbing though go wit the M series of this TV to remove it, but youll pay an extra couple hundred bucks.

Yeah thanks for the input. I dropped my sons football helmet on the floor on monday and it caused the bulb in my dlp to blow out. I could have just another $40 bulb but Slickdeals to the rescue.

I believe there was a firmware update that fixed the out of the box settings, because IMO the picture is great out of the box as many others agree, not saying you can't improve it, but its pretty good. I do plan to look into adjusting my settings in time, but really i see no reason for it other than shutting down active LED zones.
