This X240 comes with Windows Pro 7 that has been downgraded from Win 8 Pro. That means you also have a full Win 8 Pro license and can choose to convert to Win 8 pro if you'd like to.You'd just have to do it yourself by generating the recovery media and upgrading.

Even though the screen is 1368 * 768 it is IPS and of excellent quality - additionally it is not glossy

It weighs more than the 2.88 pounds listed in OP. This has an internal battery plus an additional removable battery. With the 3cell internal + 3 cell removable battery , it weighs around 3.2 - 3.3 pounds. With the 3 cell + 6 cell removable battery (which juts out below it weighs 3.5 - 3.6 pounds.

The fact that it has an internal battery makes the removable battery hot swappable. Rated battery life with the 3 + 6 cell option is 17 hours

The laptop has full size ports ethernet, vga, displayport, SD card .

The SSD and RAM are upgradeable. There is one RAM slot and 2 mSata slots

In addition to the 2.5" SSD it also can accept MSATA SSDs so you can have multiple drives -.You can also add a WWAN card.

It has an excellent dock available (costs around $170)

Actually lower resolution, 13 inch Macbook air (which this almost is) is actually 1440 x 900.

One last thing to mention. Old version included a M processor, which is significantly faster then a U processor this version has. So there is actually two reasons why this product at this price is not a good deal.

It's an OK price considering it's way overpriced anyway on the Lenovo site .. but it's only a decent price if you specifically need a Thinkpad X240 - otherwise, the specs are pretty bad for the price.

What he said, although more like a barely ok price, getting in the bad category.
