the major benefit of this card is that it can get you closer to a companion pass.

a companion pass allows another passenger when flying with you to fly for very little
- $5 on a flight from buffalo to DC

You need 110k points in one calendar year to qualify for a companion pass, which week be valid for the remainder of the year in which you qualify plus the following calendar year.

If going for the companion pass is in your future, it may be best to wait until the offer comes back later this year or early next year

*got an email from amazon payment service stating that they will eliminate the person-to-person payments effective 10/13/14; too bad can't no longer use this to quickly accumulate to 110K pts for the companion pass

Chase cards are typically not churnable unless stated in the T&C.

Sometimes (but not sure for this card) the T&C allow you to get the bonus again if:
1. You do not currently have the card.
and
2. You have not received the bonus in the past 24 months.

From what you are saying I guess you do not qualify.

I don't get paid for this. I found this on the website while browsing different credit card reviews. This is the only link I found that has 50k bonus alive.

Just trying to do a nice thing. Being accused for it is quite funny, but thus is the internets. If you look at my account, it's pretty obvious I am not affiliated with any organization.

edit: oh and if you're wondering where I pulled all the information on the CC, it was directly from the last FP deal when I did a search and didn't find anything active. I'm just your average SD'er and obviously have little to no experience posting deals.

my wife talked me into doing this but i just don't like the idea of paying them the $99 fee up front. i usually don't deal much w/ cc so my experience w/ cc is not that good. so is this a good deal even though you have to pay the $99 fee up front. don't most cc company charge you the fee after the first year?

25K normally, so this is double. This was a FP deal multiple times previously.

No, they do not. They charge at the end of the first billing cycle (month).

Also, a lot of other providers charge for their services in advance: cable, cell phone plans etc.

If I recall correctly, the official terms are that you can collect one sign-up bonus for a personal card, and one for a business card.

However, I signed up for the Premier back in March and the Plus in May, and got the sign-up bonuses for both, and the vast majority of people I see online who have tried that have had the same result, but not 100%, so there's a bit of YMMV there.
