This was posted 4 days ago for 89 dollars, now has a price drop. I did not see a shipping option. It was for store pick up near where I live.

I had to drive to Garland for mine. The guy at the desk was like what's going on? He said every one they had in stock sold out in like 5 mins as soon as the store opened. All online orders for pickup. I laughed and told him about Slickdeals. He actually seemed more pissed for some reason than anything. He did tell me that these were old stock from last year's Black Friday sale. Not sure if that's true or not. Either way, I'm just glad I got mine.
On the outside of my vacuum box it had a piece of paper taped to it that said something along the lines of "May end cap." So, I presume these are left over from a sale in May?

I picked one up today. At first I thought I missing some of the pieces until I looked inside the actual vac! This thing is so much quieter than my old Craftsman shop vac which sounds like an airplane taking off. I used it to vacuum our SUV and I loved the flexible hose with all the attachments! The auto detail kit makes this deal.
Can the larger attachments be used with the flexible hose? I tried using the adapters included but none of them seemed to work to make it fit into the flexible hose.

Looking at the display picture on the left it shows a ? what looks like a coupling.
Look to see if one end of that has threads to go on the smaller hose then it will mate to the large tools.
I don't have this so not sure.
On the list it shows it includes ", 2-1/2 in. to 1-1/4 adapters, and a hose-to-host adapter"

Great deal and perfect timing! My 10 year old wet vac just bit the dust.

Was your old vac a Rigid? Rigid has lifetime warranties on their wet vacs. My 12 year old on stopped last month, I called them up. sent them a few pictures, and a week later fedex dropped off my new vac! I highly reccomend a company that stands behind their products! definitely a slickdeal! woot

Is the $5 off $50 email sign up still valid from the previous HD post?

Yes and I borrow my parent rainbow vac to clean my studio once a month and it works really good. I use to get really bad allergies before using that vacuum cuz a regular vac just spreads the dust everywhere. My ex would sometimes have an asthma attack lol. I do see a lot of videos on youtube about making your own water filtration system with the shop-vac but I don't know how well it would work with this. I would need a foam filter for the ridgid but I couldn't find one.
Have you considered a cyclone add on, plus filter bag, plus 5 layer hepa covered with leg stocking? it might be good enough, I would expect a filter bag, hepa filter stocking combo might be close enough.

Home crap doesn't know what the customer service is. I do most of my shopping in Lowes, only if there is a deal like this I couldn't avoid Home Crap, two weeks back I bought $2.99 worth electrical wall socket since it didn't fit well I returned the same to store with the receipt, they still swiped my Driver License, I got pissed and told them I am returning with receipt their answer is computer asked for it.Mad

My local Lowes and Ace hardware gets my business most of the time.
Not sure if you can get around it talking with a manager, but they love to track returns. I would have to check the lay about linking databases, but that might be the reason...

Tried to get them to match package price of separate items at local HD. The CS Rep and Store Manager, neither would budge. I even had receipt printout of price match that I brought out as a last ditch effort, still a no go.

Interesting. How I did it was I showed the guy at the CS desk the page on the HD site that had the $64.97 deal. The description says something like 14 gallon Ridgid wt/dry vac with free auto detail kit. I just pointed at the boxes and said I see a 14 gallon Ridgid shop vac and an auto detail kit that's supposed to sell for $64.97 together. Really this deal sounds like major YMMV to me though.

Same thing irks me at WorstBuy too. When I make a return where a place asks for ID, I just give them my passport. The folks at WorstBuy get pissed off when they refuse it and tell me they need a Driver's License. Then I point to their disclaimer on the desk listing a passport as a valid form of ID they accept in-lieu of a DL. shake head

Yup. I had the page printed out.

She also pulled it up on the website on their computer. Said they don't have any in-stock of that special package, I said well these are the same two items will you honor the price? Neither would budge, they offered to give me the detail kit for free, but the Vac was ringing up at $99... not worth it.

They even offered to try to order it online for me with ship to home, but after trying a few random areas... still couldn't find any. Frown
