TLDR So in sum the m275X is between the 7750 and the 7770 desktop gpus

So to give you an idea of gaming performance looking at these gpus. All these are desktop parts with the exception of the m275X
  • 7750 is 800 mhz with 512 shaders (this model does not have a 6 pin)
  • 7750 is 900 mhz with 512 shaders (this model does have a 6 pin, AMD released two versions so it would look better on benchmarks since both cards are the same name)
  • M275X is 925 mhz with 640 shaders
  • 7770 is either 1000 mhz, 1100 mhz, or 1150 mhz with 640 shaders (once again there are several versions of this card)

Nice specs but the chassis, hinges and KB are so cheap and flimsy. Works if it just sits on a tabletop but don't expect it to travel.

I had a similiar computer from them.

Really great deal for those specs.

I really wish they had an IPS option for this computer. I can't stand sub par TN panels.

I almost bought this one yesterday so I'm happy I waited until today. I'm replacing my ~5 year old laptop that can barely play YouTube videos without stuttering.

I was in on the Asus Q550 refurbs a while back. It comes with an Intel i7-4500U running at 1.8Ghz as opposed to this i7-4510U running at 2Ghz. So the differences in CPU speed are insignificant except for a very minor speed increase. http://ark.intel.com/compare/81015,75460

Although I am happy with my new Asus refurb, I only ended up paying about $430 after all the slick savings. The point I wanted to make is I had previously owned an Asus i5 laptop before the new Asus i7 and the new one just barely out paces the i5 laptop in every regard. I decided to keep the i7 mainly for the graphics improvement and backlit keyboard along with the flexibility to plug in 3 drives.

If you are pulling the trigger on this Lenovo for the CPU power, just understand you are not buying a "screaming demon" by no means... Even with the 10% Discover, this is a lot of money for what you are getting "today," IMHO.

Seems to be a decent buy, though tax will kill this. Also looks like they're putting an underwhelming CPU in an otherwise powerful machine.

Anything to worry about regarding the low clock speed of the i7?

This i7-4510U @ 2.0Ghz is about 5% slower than my laptop's i5-3380 @ 2.9Ghz I bought a year ago. The i7 label is now meaningless. However, the i7 will get better battery life than my CPU.

Is the backlit keyboard color red? If yes, is there anyway to change it?
