$5 bucks more than the previous Newegg deal (thanks donjuan81 for the alert). Depending on your tax situation, it may be a wash. This router has the same hardware as the Netgear R6300 v2 AC1750 and can be flashed to it. See the previous discussion starting with this post.

If you are planning to flash your router, here is a link to DD-WRT firmware:

For those of us who run into the problem of the telnet command not working in the command prompt, this may help.

Thanks for posting! I've been looking to improve my wireless coverage but also wanted something that could be used for a DLNA\file server. This is a smoking deal, and I had $33 in points from my Amazon credit card so I got it for $32 shipped.

My Linksys E2000 (got it refurbished for $30) has been working well for about 3 years now, but it has trouble getting a reliable signal throughout my small house for some reason and lacks any USB sharing features.

For $65 this is a steal! I've already downloaded the DD-WRT firmware for it too. Smilie

went ahead and bought one from "direct distributor" after i saw this thread about "deal fisher": http://slickdeals.net/f/6061628-dealfisher-scam-be-aware

granted, both are "fulfilled by amazon", so you shouldn't have a problem with returning either

Went ahead and took the plunge! Been waiting on a dual-band router with gigabit ports and a USB 3.0. AC and DD-WRT are a plus!

Bought two, since it's about the same price as a decent AC adapter. I'll just setup a bridge.

Only two left in stock, hurry up!

Edit: Now instead of "Only two left in stock", it says "In stock". So I'm not sure if this means anything for filling orders.

Good router, I bought it last time it was up. The range is better than my old e2500, and I've had no connectivity issues with ddwrt flashed.

Good timing since I missed last newegg deal for this router. Finally time to sort of retire and move my e3000 to the bedroom as AP after this baby will get flashed with dd-wrt

From what I heard/read from other slick-dealers comparing it to e2000 and e3000 models, this router is very good after DD-WRT firmware install. My e3000 is running DD-WRT and rock solid for the last 3+ years. However, I'm going to turn e3000 into AP in the bedroom via powerline adapter and replace it with a new one once flashed to AC1750 version and DD-WRT

I've also been running my E3000 on DD-wrt for a number of years....just curious as to why you are switching to the router in this deal.
