I had the DC50 new from costco but ended up returning it for the DC41 refub from ebay. So glad i did cause the DC50 has horrible suction, i have a CD39 as well and its about the same as the DC41. As a test i vacuumed with the DC50 and vacuumed the same area with the DC41 after and it was as if i hadn't even vacuumed the area before. Would suggest unless you have a DIRE space problem to go with a more powerful dyson or just go cheap and get a shark. my two cents.
I am not really in the market for a new vacuum, but serisously, 90% of the stuff I buy I am not in the market for. Thanks SD. Anyway, I see that Dysons are almost always on sale, and numerous times a year you can get what seems a smokin deal from Kohls, HD, Ebay, etc.
Can someone help me out and let me know which are the top 2 - 3? If I am going to spend $240 on a vacuum, I don't mind spending another $50 or whatever to get a "better" one. I just have no idea what models are considered the best. I know I can research and read reviews (which I will on the top 2-3) but I know some of you SD'ers know off the top of your head which ones are good and which to stay away from.
I have been in the market for a Dyson for some time now. I've got a hoover pet rewind but it seems to die pretty quickly. Had it for about 6 mos and had to exchange it because it kept over heating and shutting itself off.
Ultimately my question is why are we seeing so many dyson refurbs for sale? My position on a refurb has usually been if it had any problem before it's since been fixed so a refurb, outside of warranty length, can usually be a better option, but I've seen so many deals on dysons lately it makes me wonder why, if they're such a fantastic option?
