Thread Details

A few things I will definitely watch out for are:

Donkey Kong Country 3DS and Monster Hunter 3 3DS - 10$ each (lowest seen : 20$)

Playstation 4 System - 329.99$ (this is quite unpredictable, but many stores are over-saturated with the system and may try to water down their stock)

Xbox one - 299$ (sales haven't been the greatest, I will expect an easy 299$ with possible game bundles)

3DS XL - 129.99$ (very consistent sales, will expect a minor drop in sales from last year's 149.99)

PS-Vita - 99.99 (sales have been sloppy, nobody seems to care about it, expect a huge discount this holiday)

Wii-U 199.99$ (with strong upcoming first party titles, this will stay strong at 200$ during the holidays)

Wolfenstein New Order for PC - 9.99-14.99 (for consoles probably around 19.99)

Last of Us Remastered for PS4 - 19.99

Destiny PS4/X1/PS3/X360 - 24.99 (even though the game isnt out yet, I believe this will hit below the 30$ mark or be apart of a B2G1 offer)

PS4 + PS-VITA - 449.99 (Unconfirmed bundle this holiday, if it does get released I expect somewhere around the 450$ mark)

Super Smash Bros 3DS - 25$ (Wii-u version around 30$)

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare - 40$ all systems (steady sales from previous cod hype-trends, dont expect much of a decrease especially since it releases 2-3 weeks before black friday)

The Evil Within - 29.99$ (basically a new IP for bethesda, this one is questionable)

--------------------------------------

If you have any further predictions or hopes for this holiday, feel free to post, I want to know what everyone is looking forward to this year!

PS-Vita sales actually haven't been sloppy at all.
many retailers went for a while without hardware stock, so i dunno where you're pulling that out of your ass lol.

Xbox One sales have been high since they released the kinect-less sku, i doubt they'll be a 100 dollar drop for black friday.
I don't see a PS4 drop either, maybe a special BF bundle that saves a few dollars.

I'd say the PS3 and 360 will have super BF sales.

leave the peons alone, they don't know better and only get 1 day a year to try to overpay for games steam discounts at least 3 times a year

Stop pretending that you haven't come down from your tower and bought a PS4.

If I can get a non-refurb Vita for $99, I'll be all over that. I want to play Final Fantasy X again and that would be the perfect way to do it.

what a waste of $$....you know what my PS4's mainly used for these days? Watching the WWE Network and Crunchyroll.
i actually don't own any PS4 games right now that aren't PS+ freebies.

oh and i amend my previous comment, 3DS prob will have a sale since nintendo just announced a new 3ds/3ds XL

I doubt we'll see any of the new PS4 games such as Evil Within, Last of Us Remastered, or Destiny get discounted, unless they are some type of doorbuster where you have to wait in line to fight over 10 copies.

I think the best we'll do for new games will be Target's Buy 2 Get 1 Free

Wolfenstein is a good bet for $10-$20 on PS4, but that's probably all it's worth anyway

Based on last years sales, I'd say its highly possible

AC Black Flag, BF4, and a whole bunch of other big named games like Last of Us hit the 25$ mark that were released only a 1-4 months before black friday.

Do you remember where they were $25? Were they online? I'll be working Black Friday so ordering online will be key

Wal-mart had the Last of Us for 25$ in-store only along with Beyond 2 Souls

I'm pretty sure they also had battlefield 4 for the same price, or maybe it was Target.

I can't remember if amazon price matched them, but from what I remember they were mostly in store.

edit: here is an image from last year's ad

Battlefield 4, Last of Us were 25$

AC black flag and the new batman were 34$

Xbox-one sales weren't horrible, but if were comparing those sales to PS4, then they aren't that great.

also the vita is hard to to find because most stores have discontinued them, go check your local wal-mart, they have a scarce variety of Vita games available now because they stopped receiving them.

Why do you think there was a vita game sale a couple weeks ago for 10$ each?

this isn't pulled out of my ass, I have actual experience with what I posted, what about you?

um the forbes link you provided:

Earlier this week, the Playstation Vita mysteriously disappeared. Neither Amazon, nor Walmart, nor Gamestop were selling new consoles directly, and it some to ask the basic question: what's going on? Barring true insanity on the part of Sony , it appeared to be good news for the perpetually troubled handheld. After the launch of both the Vita Slim and the Borderlands 2 bundle, demand has begun to outstrip supply.

"We're seeing healthy consumer demand for PS Vita globally, particularly in markets like Japan," a representative told Polygon. "The U.S. launch of the slimmer and lighter PS Vita has generated strong interest among gamers, and we're working to replenish supply here to ensure continued momentum leading into the holidays." .
Does that mean discontinued and poor sales?? When demand exceeds supply?

Im 99% sure you're pulling this out of your ass now lol.

And the games that were on sale on Vita, you do realize sony has flash sales on vita games frequently? and many of those sale games were actually offered for free for PS+ members.

Regarding the xbox one, again if you look at sales from the kinect-less sku and compare it to PS4, its comparable.

Walmart never was a big go to place to buy video games imo, they usually only stock initial releases and don't replenish their stock of games a month after release.

oh and my experience would be actually working in retail and selling these consoles
anecdotal experience, but still

If were comparing the 3DS to vita, then yes the vita is quite behind in sales.

I never said people aren't buying it, sales are sloppy and that's the truth.

Also, wal-mart is just as good a choice to buy games as Best Buy or Target.

The vita isn't a big hit, man up and deal with it.
