This is gonna bomb in the west, unfortunately. DW is a button mashing snooze-fest.

I'm curious how it will do in Japan, since that is a series that always sells better in NA.
They basically slapped Zelda skins on a DW game.. alienating most Western fans, so is that something Japanese gamers will buy?
Personally, I'm on the fence. Never played DW, but it looks pretty repetitious and mindless.

Same deal for The Legend of Zelda for Nintendo Wii U and Bayonetta 2.

Since they don't charge CC until they ship I'm in for both of those as well. Could always cancel if a better deal pops up but $40 after points not too shabby.

I'm looking forward to it. I get a kick out of the Dynasty Warriors games. I won't disagree with the repetitive and mindless comments, but sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered. Smilie I think it will be fun to have that gameplay in a different setting.

You could not be more wrong. I speak from the "gonna bomb in the west" comment as the other is merely an opinion which can not be either right or wrong, just is. This game will appeal to many audiences that normally would not buy the same thing and that is precisely why it will succeed. A Zelda / Link game, you got that market covered. They'll buy anything regardless because it has the two characters in it. A Dynasty Warriors game on the Wii U, well now you got that market (one that includes DW fans as well as more "hardcore" gamers) interested. And oh look, a new game on the Wii U that is going to get good reviews (reviews from Japan have been glowing). You've just covered everyone who has a Wii U and wants a new game to play.

Guaranteed, this game will succeed.

+1 for this. I've never played or been interested in a DW game before, but I've had Hyrule Warriors pre-ordered for months now since I'm a big Zelda fan!

You can also combine this with the extra $10 in points with a $30 purchase. I did it yesterday and I'll be getting 30.60 back which I'm going to use to pick up Smash Bros on 3DS.

I didn't know about this game. I can't believe Nintendo would allow Zelda to mix in with DW. DW must be big in Japan. DW was fun when I was young, but I quickly outgrew it during the PS2 era. It's really just button mashing. I'm amazed that DW survived this long.

It's doing poorly in Japan, aka Dynasty Warrior land.

Good luck.

It was the best debut for a "DW" game in Japan in a long long time. It is doing decent. Everything is bombing in Japan though. PS4 is only selling 5,000 units a week for example. The Wii U has been consistently outselling it.

+1 as well. I haven't been interested in a dynasty warriors game since mid-ps2 era but this one really looks interesting.

Can anyone get the store pickup option to work? Or does Sears/Kmart not do store pickup on pre-orders?
