NetOnTheRun is offering a Galaxy S5 for $450, which includes a month of paid service ($39 plan, 1GB of data and unlimited call/text).

They will supply the unlock code after 6 months, but the phone also will work out of the box on T-Mobile & any T-Mo network MVNOs as well without being unlocked. This offer is for Labor Day weekend only.

For more information on NetOnTheRun, see the last deal they offered here: http://slickdeals.net/f/7155860-apple-iphone-5s-new-no-contract-350?v=1

Unlike the prior deal, this deal is requiring the first month of service, and it is included in this price.

$ 459.99 Spinner big, including shipping for $9.99

This is the same as a phone purchased directly from T-Mobile. Although this phone is locked to T-Mobile you can use it with existing T-Mobile service (prepaid or post paid) or a new prepaid SIM. Just pop in your SIM and you're good to go. Note that it uses a micro SIM.

this is a good deal, esp. if you're already planning to use their service. Almost better than buying the device on craigslist - no wasting time sifting through scams & cons, no haggling.

Is NetOnTheRun prepaid plan which has no 911 fee and other fee?
And do you have to keep the phone plan for more than 1 month? If you have existing T-mobile plan, can T-mobile unlock the phone instead of NetOnTheRun ?

If this was $400, I'd be all over this like a fly on poop.

it is a lock US tmobile phone. Just cancel after the first month with their plan and use with your regular tmobile plan. I believe it the exact the same like at Tmobile store. Thanks op

NetOnTheRun is one of new wave of business plan resellers (they used to also operate as an MVNO called 35orless), so they are paying most of the fees and then reselling business lines on a month-to-month basis. No obligation, you can cancel or port at any time, or you can pop in your TMo SIM when you receive the phone and consider the one month of service as part of the phone cost.

If my memory serves from the prior iPhone deal, their phones are only carrier locked, so TMo should be able to unlock after whatever time period they require. Nice thing about some of the new TMo plans is the free foreign data (2g/3g Speed has been reported, depending on the country) and text, with Vonage or the like for voice it makes traveling much easier.

It's a standard issue TMo S5, so all the S5 features should work. I have read that ISIS requires a special TMo SIM set up for ISIS (So if you have a pile of TMo Sims from the free deals on here, they may not work with ISIS), don't know if the NetOnTheRun Sim that the phone comes with is the ISIS model. If you use it for your TMo plan, it will work fine with that chip.

If you want an even cheaper TMo reseller, search 'Harbor Mobile' here on SD. This phone could also be used on the Walmart $30 5MB prepaid plan without any unlocking needed.

If you want a new GSM S5, is there any reason not to get this?
